'Chromatica' Discussion - ACT I

I hope gaga is okay. I know she really wanted to release this too. I didn't expect to be so sad tonight. I really hope shes okay.

For an album she said was about “dancing through the pain” and “no matter how bad your day was, you can still dance”, she really didn’t deliver on it. 

Im sorry. I know it’s negative for me to say this but I’m disappointed at the hypocrisy regardless of the circumstances. 
Literally everything feels hollow and cheap, and I still feel betrayed.

I know people are dying, and have lost their jobs (me being one it them) but this album could have made it so much more bearable and provided some sort of semblance of hope- and she literally appointed that as a huge influence behind the project in the first place... 

Yeah, she’s been busy raising money and organized this event for the WHO but as selfish as this sounds I’m going to say it anyway; she’d not even have the leverage if it weren’t for the ones of us who have been starving for this album long before anyone even knew what COVID-19 was and sometimes people need more than money- they need hope and some sort of normalcy.
 

For god sake there was even music as the Titanic sank... we don’t even get that while the world falls a part— at least not from Gaga  anyway. At least Dua, The Weeknd, and Twenty One Pilot fans are getting served. 

As a Gaga fan, it feels like we always lose, always wait, and are always having to speculate. 

Today was supposed to be about having the distraction of dissecting and discovering almost twenty brand new, freshly produced GAGA tracks that we’ve been teased crumbs of for almost 2 years but instead we are just going to have to live with the fact that Gaga and her team decided that we wouldn’t recognize or appreciate the severity of some god awful global event that’s keeping us chained like animals.

We’re allowed to feel this way. We won’t be put down by users who are okay with this and up her ass. We appreciate what she is doing for covid but this wouldve helped us too. 

I definitely feel this - I was supposed to go to Coachella this year to work, I had tickets for Enigma in May, the list goes on... but most importantly, this album was gonna be the mental refresh I needed during all this darkness after word of cancellations started to spread. I'm sad I'm not listening on repeat right now as well /:

I think we'll get it after the concert so that people do not question her motives with wanting to help. With merch deliveries being delayed until 4/24, it makes sense as a potential new release date that is after the show.

*hugs* You said it all. I had to let all my employees go and then do their job the past few weeks. The only thing that's getting me through all this is the Chromatica Ball and if that goes, I'm not sure how I'm going to make out.

Lo siento. Sé que es negativo para mí decir esto, pero estoy decepcionado por la hipocresía, independientemente de las circunstancias. 
Literalmente todo se siente hueco y barato, y todavía me siento traicionado.

Sé que la gente está muriendo y ha perdido su trabajo (yo soy uno de ellos), pero este álbum podría haberlo hecho mucho más soportable y haber proporcionado una especie de apariencia de esperanza, y literalmente lo designó como una gran influencia detrás del proyecto. en primer lugar... 

Sí, ha estado ocupada recaudando dinero y organizó este evento para la OMS, pero tan egoísta como parece, lo diré de todos modos; ella ni siquiera tendría la influencia si no fuera por los que nos hemos estado muriendo de hambre por este álbum mucho antes de que nadie supiera qué era COVID-19 y, a veces, las personas necesitan más que dinero: necesitan esperanza y algún tipo de normalidad.
 

Por el amor de Dios, incluso hubo música cuando el Titanic se hundió ... ni siquiera lo conseguimos mientras el mundo cae en una parte, al menos no de Gaga de todos modos. Al menos los fanáticos de Dua, The Weeknd y Twenty One Pilot están siendo atendidos. 

Como fanático de Gaga, parece que siempre perdemos, siempre esperamos y siempre tenemos que especular. 

Se suponía que hoy se trataba de tener la distracción de diseccionar y descubrir casi veinte pistas de GAGA nuevas y recién producidas de las que hemos sido objeto de migajas durante casi 2 años, pero en lugar de eso solo tendremos que vivir con el hecho de que Gaga y su equipo decidió que no reconoceríamos ni apreciaríamos la gravedad de algún evento mundial horrible que nos mantiene encadenados como animales.

My tantrum isn’t ridiculous, okay? It’s a tantrum- but it’s not ridiculous.

Can we please PLEASE stop with the fake CD'S/Vinyls. Stop being fake insiders. Stop teasing and taunting because a lot of us are having a really hard time right now and this album is something that means a lot to a lot of people and by doing things like making a fake leak or claiming you have a cd or a leak (agree to disagree on whether or not someone should listen to leaks) it is harmful. We get our hopes up to have maybe a new song to listen to and get disappointed. It's not funny. It's not cute. Honestly you're just being a d*ck.

Okay but ngl that seemed super rude to me. 

Were all going through a lot, especially with a lot if not most of us being out of a job, won't qualify for any kind of benefits, being stuck home, and possibly being sick.

I feel the same way, the album has given me something to look forward to through the day but since the postponemt its just been meh and tonight was super emotional.

Not really an overreaction. Yes we knew it wasn't coming but I mean at least a message or sum from her would mean a lot. Shes been dark this entire era so far. This albums means a hell of a lot to us who really have nothing good happening right now.
