She won’t delay for another 8-9 months because is suicide and we fans are gonna freakout.

At this point any date the album drop won’t be good, the impact is a given, the virus situation will be here for several months and she won’t be able to do everything she planned, everyone needs to accept It.

But the thing is, if they planned a lot of things that can’t happen anymore, she and the team need to make another plans to sell the album now focused on social media, streams etc.

I’m starting to think maybe they will delay only 3 or 4 weeks like the rumours said not because they’re expecting things to be solved by then, this is not happening, but to have time to think the entire era again from another perspective (commercially), and to do that maybe only 19 days left isn’t enough, so they’re giving her another 3-4 weeks to do it.

Guys, let's be honest for a minute... Coronavirus or not, do you really think Gaga had an agressive marketing plan scheduled this time around? You were all already complaining about the lack of Stupid Love promo and performances long before we were all quarantined.

The truth is, Gaga never planned to overwork herself promoting Chromatica for obvious health reasons, hence the heavy digital promo, Apple deals and short tour. I kinda doubt Coronavirus is changing her plans that much tbh. It's not 2011 anymore when she was making 10 interviews and 30 costume changes a day.

Her team literally have to plan everything around this. If they pick a new date just know that they will have strategised and will have the efficient promo plan. The April 10th date was the old promo plan (which cannot be done) 

Plus the physicals may be able to be shipped. UK is only supposed to go into lockdown for 4 weeks. Vulnerable people 12 weeks. May 1st is out of the way. 

Stupid Love date was put back 3 weeks. Make sense the album would be. 

Again, we don't know how this virus will affect things moving forward. Yes, many places are only in "lockdown" for a few weeks, but as this situation grows exponentially worse, it's only a matter of time until things get shut down again. 

This is not a little issue. Again,  I don't see where y'all are coming from, thinking that May 1st is a better date. If y'all want to delay it, just say "delay it until Fall or Winter". At least then it makes more sense. Things (hopefully) will have simmered down by then.

This rly seems plausible!! Obviously corona will be worse in like 4 weeks BUT it can give them extra time to figure out what promo they can do

That  I could see moving, and tbh, I'd be okay with it. It makes more sense to postpone a large event than to postpone an album you can stream from your own home.

Obviously I'd be very disappointed etc, but everyone's life has been horribly affected by the virus, and many less fortunate people are in serious trouble due to losing their jobs or fighting for food and health supplies.

If I were her I'd firstly make an actual effort to keep in contact with her fans on social media so they're not left totally in the dark. Secondly I'd actually make an effort to promote my lead single and upcoming album on social media, maybe even perform some songs on my piano at home, or do a Q+A, a homemade video etc. basically find new creative ways to entertain my fans since I'm a highly payed popular entertainer.

The pro of releasing the album on the date planned is that it can be some comfort. As people are bored at home, or could be worried about someone they know with corona. So I can understand music can be even more powerful than it already is!

But a con of releasing it on the day planned is that there is probably limited possibilities for promo. Also I wouldnt be surprised if Gaga postponed the tour as well.

She isn't gonna promote this album like her previous album and I think monsters need to get their heads around that fact. 

I mean, the fact she announced a 6 date tour, done 3 interviews for Stupid Love/Album and has been silent on Twitter tells you that this era is gonna be more silent.  She isn't doing any hardcore promo this era, so releasing it 10th April won't effect anything at all
