A delay STILL doesn't make sense. How come Dua's album, which comes out only a week before Chromatica, doesn't get delayed and the latter should? There's no way in hell that Future Nostalgia's physicals are already manufactured and Chromatica's aren't. I wouldn't be shitting my pants just yet, to be very honest

But that's not all coronas fault its the underperforming lead too. In the current situation there's not much she can do to combat it, even SL best metric radio is getting hammered through low AI. 

"underperforming lead", didn't everyone say the same about PI and then she still pulled a #1 with Joanne? All the predictions doubted her too, and she ended up with 201,000 equivalent album units, scoring a #1. Lets not forget that Chromatica is bundled with tour tickets. Meaning she would have 215,386 sales if every single seat was sold. However, one must account for the fact that there won't be seats behind the stage. So even at 75% capacity we have 161,540 digital sales. And without it selling out, and a guess of 90% of those seats sold, we end up with 145,385 digital sales. That's only for tour bundles too. On top of that we have the merch bundles. I see 6 album bundles on her U.S. store. Even if each item only had 5,000 sales, that's another 30,000 digital sales. So total at 191,540 digital sales. Stupid Love had 53,000 digital sales first week. So if we pulled similar numbers for Chromatica, that puts us at 244,540. Moving onto streams, SL first week streams were at 19.7M, with a very conservative 25% of that x 16 tracks, that puts us at 63,040 equivalent units, for a total of 307,580 units. That's without in-store physicals. And let's not forget that the album doesn't have to SHIP in the first week, they just have to be SOLD. Now I could be very wrong, and I welcome anyone (especially chartsters) to correct my numbers, but if this is realistic, I think Gaga is in for another #1. The Weeknd is a streaming giant, but I doubt he goes from around 400k units to over 300k in his third week. And I doubt that Dua (even though the album is a hard bop) can touch 300k, even in her first week. 

 

Overall, I feel like Gaga's team is closely watching each of these numbers, and seeing if she could do better than this without the virus. Keep in mind that as of right now there are no mother major releases announced, but at a later time they would be taking a gamble.

She's not doing anywhere near that number atm. As per billboard article most artists benefit 25k max for tour bundles. 

Joanne had MR (ballad as single in fall) + carpool karaoke + SNL + radio interview 

Chromatica has... Magazine cover + single that is now sat #86 on spotify... Not good.

I am in no way doubting you, especially because I'm not the most familiar with charts and sales, but would you happen to have the article handy so I may take a look? I also wonder if the benefit is low because people are required to claim the album from the bundle in order for it to count.

Billboard estimates that 30% of tickets are redeemed 

So working that out against the tickets it is adding between 20 - 30k average. Gaga is only doing two u.s. dates so far

This is beginning to get really frustrating I’m not going to lie. If the album is coming as planned, where the hell is she? And if it’s not, first why? And secondly, let us know and put us out of our misery. 

Either way, I’m sorry to say the last half week has not been a fun time to be a LM, and I shouldn’t be feeling this way 2.5 weeks before her album is supposedly coming out.

I totally agree with you. She is killing the entire hype for this era, like for real... She's always talking about kindness and stuff but right now where we need her the most she stays silent? I mean c'mon that sh-- is getting old.

I just hope the album (if she actually decides to release it) slays and makes up for this. 

U know what saddens me the most? for a pile of sh-- like enigma she wouldn't stop talking about it but in less than a MONTH for her album release she doesn't even exist or posts stuff. its like she doesn't even care about her own work anymore. Its been hard being a gaga fan I'll be honest with y'all...

Tea, and obviously she wasn't to know Covid was coming, but I'm saddened she put her ALL into Enigma and Haus Labs for the whole of a year, which didn't do much for her primary fans, and now we have no clue what is going on with Chromatica...
