But the Paper Mag photoshoot definitely boosted my hype for the album so I can't judge on just one song and mv. Sure I’m excited for the album and I hope it will have more memorable songs than Stupid Love. I found the single to be fun and alright but not something that I needed to play more than 2-3 times and the music video was like a rehash of her past looks and represented in the lowest possible quality. Gaga and most pop girls however, save for Beyoncé maybe with her surprise releases of visual albums, aren’t really that interesting anymore and when fans complain that they aren’t celebrated or are underrated, I’d say they only get the recognition they deserve because most of them aren’t even trying and are just relying on their rabid fan bases to stream them 24/7 while keeping the volume turned down just to game the numbers. It’s pathetic. Trust me I WANT to get hyped. I want to be excited, but I’m tired of meltdowns. Sadly, all of that is SO true. No shade, just facts. Why not collaborate with those photographers to direct your works? Yeah, I've been noticing some disjointedness between shoots like that and her actual videos and covers for a long time. It's kinda weird. I'm not saying I dislike her videos these days, but they do often seem a bit less inspired than the more elaborate photoshoots she does. Like her aesthetic especially Paper Magazine is among the best things she’s ever done, or I could even say it’s her best photo shoot ever. I always say Gaga’s image seems to always imply that she has some very deep content, some very experimental music, but the recent works tend to be quite generic compared to the image and with SL, the visual aspect itself feels weak and rehashed from old works.
