A dance tempo is usually from 120bmp to 135bpm, and this is about 90bpm. Unless they sampled a piece of the song and slowed it down. We'll have to wait and see i guess. It doesn't mean they will postpone the album at all. Plus anyone who is a buyer of CD's would have already ordered the album a long time ago. They can still go ahead with the release date. Digital downloads and streaming numbers are way bigger than CD sales these days anyways. With a strong online promotion campaign they can still go ahead with the April 10th release date. But they need to kick that promo into high gear ASAP. Everyone is at home on their phones, tablets and computers. To me now is a perfect time to hit hard with album promotion. This virus isn’t going away for at least 4 more months. Even if she delays this by a month or two, it’ll likely be the same situation. At least sticking to April would be a promise kept to her fans, and no one can blame someone for underperforming during a pandemic. It just is what it is. 2- If she delays, then she and the team are deeply concerned about the underperformance and would rather risk a delay in order to get better returns. Could the song have two different tempos as many songs do? Or perhaps, if this is around 90 bpm, there could be a heavy beat or drum around 180 bpm over the chorus, etc PG.
