Honestly, I am hoping SL is a TRUE lead in that it represents the album sonically and conceptually, and is appealling to a wide audience; but, I hope that the rest of the album is much more experimental, with more meaningful lyrics and innovative production. I am 100% here for a nice, safe ride back into the pop music scene with Stupid Love, but after ASIB, I want her to continue to release art that pushes her legacy forward. Single #2 will be key.

We've only gotten 2/5 eras with 4 or more singles (TF = 4; BTW = 5), and ARTPOP and Joanne essentially only had 2 each. ASIB had 1 without a true visual component. Considering how fed other stans get, I want to a 4-single era that smashes hard. Most importantly, I want a clean rollout of each single! I don't care how well an unplanned song does on a Haus Labs commercial; NO SWITCHING.

1st single 2/28, 2nd single in April that is iconic, 4th single in June, and a late August/early Sep fall single to conclude the era in a way she hasn't been able to do well... ever? I need her to promo the hell out of these singles, with legendary MVs and performances that made her Gaga. I'd even say to just not release any promotional singles -- what exactly are the point of them anyway? Sprinkle some into Haus Labs after the album drop maybe. Or, tease them in long-form MVs.

My preference is that the 2nd single is the best of the bunch, with a MTN-esque long-form MV, upbeat spring > summer production. The 3rd single can be a ballad or a collaboration maybe to give her some acclaim or hype/buzz to drive the desire for a 4th and final single.

HYPED.

Only thing that I'd change is make the era longer. Late August/early September for the last single is really soon and making an era very short.

Thirty nine

Depends on commercial success.

5 singles (music videos) if it has big success

3 if it has average success

You have to consider that once Thanksgiving hits in the U.S., the charts are saturated with holiday music until the new year. With a 2/28 release of her first single, that really limits the potential timeframe of the era, which is fine with me. I think that having some binding parameters in place such as the holidays, Enigma dates, etc., will allow her and the team to stay focused on their plan. She is a literal legend to a much wider audience post-ASIB and I have to believe that they want this era to go smoothly, even if it means having to trim some 'extra' ideas.

The BTW era had 5 singles and the poor planning of it tarnished the legacy of one of her most amazing pieces of work. BTW, the lead single, dragged because it had been so hyped pre-release that it wore out by the time it peaked. Judas finally arrived, and the controversy of it all sucked the air out of the era, wasting a shot at an easy #1 (despite being released on a Sunday to underwhelming/outraged reviews, it debuted at #10). EOG was rush-released 1 month after, peaking as a digital-only single on debut at #3. The MV was then canned and a lackluster release did nothing. 3 singles pre-album, 3 chances to easily capitalize on hype, and 2/3 were wasted.

She then spent the entire summer/early fall trying to get You & I to chart, finally getting it to #6. The last, and 2nd post-album, single was the glorious Marry the Night. Despite it being an amazing track, with a perfect autobiographical MV and stunning live performances, Gaga and the GP were exhausted and it hit radio just before the holidays. The result? #29, and the label of 'overexposure' onto what should have been a dominant album cycle.

3/1 - 11/30 is 9 full months.  3 perfectly-executed singles with 2.5-month lifespans leaves 1.5 months for Stupid Love to debut and get the GP hyped for an album that has much more to offer. I'd love to see her maybe release a cute collaboration or something at the end of the era that crosses into the new year, but if that puts her in danger of overexposing herself again, then N-O. 10 weeks is plenty to get fans to stream, buy, and stan each single, and enough time to dedicate money toward looks and visuals for high-profile promo and performances of each.

I'm all about a well-planned, well-executed, acclaimed era for this comeback:

1. Stupid Love debuts top 10, reaches top 4 and gets everyone hyped for the look and sound of the album. TV performances create extra buzz right before...

2. ~4/15 - Single #2 drops and is the Bad Romance of 2020. She mixes new sounds, serves her best visuals since BTW, and grabs a #1 and ROTY/SOTY-nominated hit.

3. ~6/21 - Single #3 pulls back just a bit and experiments with showcasing her vocals in a more pop-friendly/less adult-contemporary setting; she releases a remix with a fabulous feature that grabs a Best Pop Duo Grammy.

4. ~8/28 - Single #4 is a more GP-friendly version of Single #2; still more innovative than SL, but it leaves the era with everyone knowing that Gaga + Pop = CONQUERED.
