I've been a teenager, i know how it is, that's why I don't understand how so many people can love these basic boys. BTS is only popular amongst their fanbase and with how toxic they are online, they will continue to solely be until they inevitably disband and settle into irrelevance like most idols do. So you remember when Monsters were a safe haven for people like us, you know who lets our freak flags fly. These "basic" boys really helped teenagers at this time and age, where bullying is easier to happen due to social media. BTS cooperated with unicef to help kids in response of the violence happening around the world, including bullying. They had made a lot of self-love songs too and referenced depression too such in songs like "Mikrokosmos", "Love Myself" and "Shadow". It really helped because I am a teacher, and the majority of teenage ARMYs I taught or teach today said that BTS helped them with dark times.
