Bernie 1,000% has a super PAC.  It's called Our Revolution. He literally hand-picked the board, which triggered an FEC complaint and violation. It's been widely reported by the AP and NYT.

The receipts: https://apnews.com/345bbd1af529cfb1e41305fa3ab1e604

Pete's the only one who doesn't have a super PAC. And he's the only one that isn't a millionaire. And he's the only Washington outsider.

President Biden

yall do realize not every Super PAC is shady corrupt money.

we have environmentalist Pacs, women’s rights pacs, healthcare pacs. Planned Parent has Pacs, The AFL CIO has Pacs. They aren’t inherently bad. and in my opinion, who cares if some rich guy gives her money. That doesn’t change her policies

All of them at a max of 2000 dollars. Because as limited by the FEC, you can only give a few thousand dollars MAX to a candidate per election cycle. So regardless of the donors wealth, they can’t give much more than a few thousand.

https://readsludge.com/2020/02/10/fact-check-does-bernie-sanders-get-support-from-big-money-super-pacs/

Fact checking:

Sunrise Mvt: - not a super PAC, has earned ~$400,000 from Sunrise MVT -separate from the traditional PAC they have, Its a non profit. It has only reported $49,000 in pro-Sanders expenditures to date. This is comprised of young climate activists, not millionaires and wealthy donors. All of their money goes towards door knocking, canvassing, get out the vote materials, and organizing, and they also log things like meals, lodging, staff time, gas, and facebook ads.

Nurses United - not a super PAC. It's a Nurses Union. It has spent $70,000 so far and its mostly been used to  make t-shirts and placards. It is funded by its own union members through union dues, not wealthy donors and fundraisers. It has spent no money on pro-sanders or any candidate related expenditures.

Dream Defenders: - racial justice group formed after Trayvon Martin's death. One of the co-owners is a Sanders surrogate now. It does have a super PAC, "Dream Defenders Fight"  and that has spent $22,000 on pro-sanders expenditures. It has raised $60,000 in total. Of the $60,000 it has raised, $25,000 came from the Movement Voter Project, a group that helps donors support “the best and most promising LOCAL community-based organizations in key states with a focus on youth and communities of color,” $22,500 came from the Indivisible Project, a group founded “to resist the Trump agenda,” and $10,000 came from progressive philanthropist Rachel Gelman. They mostly do phone banking, knocking doors, and community outreach.

Center for Popular Democracy Action: - a non profit, has its own  PAC, not super PAC. They have spent $19,500 so far and it is on Canvassing for Sanders. It's money comes entirely from small dollar donations.

People's Action: - a non profit that represents 1.3 million people,  has spent $13,500 on canvassing, phone banking, literature backing Sanders. Does not currently have a PAC or Super PAC, but is looking to spend some of their $100,000 towards electoral politics. Warren was almost endorsed by them.

Our Revolution - NOT A SUPER PAC: Their efforts to support Sanders have been "mobilizing members to vote in primaries" They do not even use flyers, ads, or paid phonebankers or canvassers. Several million people are part of this non profit, and the way they are supporting Sanders is simply by getting their own members to vote. All donations are individuals,  the largest they received in 2019 was $25,000, average contribution was less than $18. Also, this was bad reporting on AP's behalf, every donor who has donated more than $250 has their name on their website. https://go.ourrevolution.com/page/-/PDF/Our Revolution - Donor List.pdf (link to their donor list)

Bernie Sanders founded Our Revolution, but he did not hire people or staff it and left within weeks of it forming. Larry Cohen, not Bernie Sanders, build the board. Sanders has no connection to any part of Our Revolution.

These total groups encompass 2.2 million people, mostly black and brown working class people and young people. The total amoutn of money spent here is around $500,000 but represents 2 million+ people. That means that Bernie Sanders personal campaign has raised multiple times more than all of these non profits combined from real people :emma:

Technically, Bernie Sanders does not have a super PAC that was formed to benefit him, but non profits, organizational groups who previously existed and have their own goals, but who must have "PACs" in order to spend money on politics directly have endorsed him. Most of these groups have a PAC or Super PAC but are funded by individual small dollar donations and the bulk of their action is in phone banking, canvassing, getting out the vote, etc. They are not spending money on ads, airwave time, etc. or directly contributing to Sanders campaign. None of them are funded by wealthy donors or millionaires or billionaires.

~~~
For Comparison. The Persist Super PAC that is now supporting Warren was formed specifically to help her and has already spent over $1 million in ad buys for her. More than double what all of these non profit groups that have endorsed Bernie have spent, and all of which was spent on  on canvassing, phone banking, door knocking, meals, travel, etc. in years of time. It also represents over 2 million organizers.
Persist is not a group of millions of young women or anything, its wealthy donors, some of whom are explicitly anti M4A.
Warren is using the vagaries around what "PACs" "Super PACs" and "Dark Money" are in order to justify actually having the MOST problematic type of Super PAC - The kind funded by wealthy anonymous donors that spends millions of dollars to create ads and airwave time and lobby people.
2800 $ actually
And multiply the number of times a candidate can donate
And you assume them to operate within FEC rules. Rules can be bend or flexed.
Even better, FEC filings show Warren's camp was actually in DEBT in January of several hundred thousand dollars.
She most likely HAD to resort to Super PACs to remain viable moving forward, and her justification of "everyone's doing it" is 1) false, but also necessary for her to say because she had no choice but to accept their help.
And he has 46 billionaire donors whose funding is also consistent with his dramatic change in policy positions. :trollga:
Don't cape for a spineless corporate shill.
Bernie has a so called super PAC that's supporting him that's made of farmers and nurses.
lol
I never understood this argument. 46 billionaires make up less than 1% of all donations directed toward Pete.  Each maxing out at $2800 for primary and $2800 for the general. $257,600 in total of over $76 million raised.
These false narratives :ladyhaha:
Good, everyone else does!
Even Bernie!
Do you believe that there is a difference between union workers openly supporting a candidate by voting for him and paying their union dues as funding versus wealthy millionaires and billionaires discreetly spending large sums of money to support a candidate with ad buys?
