Gimme More 35,586
Laura Whitmore, replaced Caroline Flack on this seasons Love Island when Caroline stepped down from her role as presenter for this season. Caroline was rooting for Laura to become the new presenter and showed her support online for her and through personal messages (they have been friends for 10 years) Laura today gave an emotional tribute to Caroline following her suicide and discussed how much of an impact trolling has and the press. this is heart breaking R.I.P Caroline It's so sad seeing Caroline's old insta posts

I think the UK would never have left the EU if the tabloids didn’t spread lies, as they are basically all ran by greedy multi millionaires who are the only ones benefiting from leaving the EU. Definitely brainwashing the public ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️BANNED TILL SEPTEMBER‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

ModernEcstasy 9,131
I am crying. These are some hard hitting words. Tomorrow will mark 3 years since I tried to take my own life. It is important to tell people you love, how much they mean to you. Before it’s too late. I hope Caroline’s parting will teach some vital lessons. Rest peacefully Caroline. It's so sad she felt so awful that she decided to end her life, something truly needs to be done.
StrawberryBlond 15,083
So sad, I'm not even a fan on Caroline but my eyes were just filling up. Beautiful tribute. I agree, Love Island is not the problem but this is the third suicide of someone connected to that show since 2018 (32-year-old Sophie Gradon in 2018, 26-year-old Mike Thalassitis in 2019 and now Caroline in 2020). One death per year. Caroline may not have killed herself because of the show but you can't deny that the show gives people unrealistic expectations of love, it puts pressure on us to be in relationships, maybe even settle for less. And the show chews people up and spits them out when they're no longer of use. I can imagine that someone like Caroline, who was the definition of unlucky in love, found a deep irony and sadness in fronting such a show and now losing her biggest ever gig was an extra blow. The loss of her job and her presuming her entire career was over was likely the ultimate thing to push her over the edge. Laura had always felt guilty from the start taking her place and I can imagine she's in a world of pain right now that she'd taken her friend's job and shortly after, she killed herself. She's not to blame, but it must be eating away at her nevertheless. "Anyone who knew Caroline knew that she was loving, vivacious and had a passion for life, which is why none of this makes sense." "Caroline loved to love...that was all she ever wanted." "I'll see you on the dancefloor again." 2 hours ago, Blue Lagoon said: So like why haven’t there been laws made in the uk against the tabloids It's so much more than that. She had a chaotic love life and had just lost her job. The tabloid scrutiny didn't help but it wasn't the only reason. There usually isn't just one reason why anyone kills themselves. Her Instagram posts showed she was suffering but couldn't find someone to confide in 2 months before the assault against Lewis happened. It was the stuff that the media wasn't seeing, that she wasn't being criticised for, that was getting to her.
