Changing my tune? :rip: I literally said

"Also, the Republican establishment put up a good fight, but they gave in once they realized that Trump would, despite his unruliness, still govern as a neoconservative in many ways, still give them the judges they want, the tax breaks they want, the entitlements cuts they want, etc. Basic conservative agenda with a sprinkle of populist message but no action.

Dems however would rather Trump win than Bernie because he actually would disrupt their power and influence  It's literally in their best financial interests and job security to let Trump win over Bernie "

Context clues would lead one to assume that by Dems I meant "Democratic Establishment" as I was drawing a comparison between the R/D versions of the same thing. Also, "financial interests and job security" is another clue as to what I meant. Everyday citizens do not have a financial investment into the success of the DNC, corporate lobbying and consulting, or in the promotion of political candidates, and being a teacher or steel mill worker or doctor are not jobs that are going to be lost by supporting Bernie Sanders for president. I stand by my opinion whole heartedly, and think there's plenty of reason to see it as realistic, and not much to suggest it isn't other than a really naive sort of "Dems are good and would never do that!" mentality.

Also, who are the "susceptible" and why do you imply my *intent* in stating my opinion is to stir them up? I was literally responding to a single comment.

It was a victory, but I'm conditioned to not celebrate until the dust has settled. We have things to improve on and a message to sharpen in order to take our momentum into victory. A Contested convention seems increasingly likely, and seeing as how I don't want the Democratic party to be fractured beyond immediate repair at the convention, I will keep on keeping on with the Sanders campaign, because I see that as an obvious outcome of a contested convention

I won't touch "fun being a victim" because that's some conservative bs and it's too late at night for that.

Idk about VP, but even with their drama, I think if he won he would ask her to be his Treasury Secretary (which is the job I have wanted for her since 2009  ).

They have been friends for years so I don't even think they're bitter towards each other and I feel like he could choose her as a VP just so he can prove to everyone that he believes a woman can be president.

So...

Bernie won Iowa technically (popular vote - first & final alignment and SDEs once errors are corrected)

Bernie won New Hampshire

Nevada is 48% white, 29% Latino, 8% black, 8% Asian. Pete is one of if not the worst candidates with minorities, so I don't see him being a huge factor there. Bernie does excellent with Latinos. Biden places 4th and 5th place in Iowa & NH means he will likely suffer in Nevada. So Bernie absolutely has the best chance in Nevada!

South Carolina Pete is not getting because of his tragic performance with the black vote. Biden could win South Carolina and he's banking on it, but placing 4th and 5th in the first 2 states (which means he will likely place 3rd at best in NV) will really negatively affect him there. Steyer could pull through, but I dunno. I think Bernie now has a very fair chance at winning SC.

If he manages to win all 4, holy ****, he's going to hit the ground running Super Tuesday.

But in terms of staying in the race, you could be top 3 and stick it to the next primary. That’s my point here. Buttigieg doesn’t need to win SC and Nevada to keep going (though I personally feel they’re omens depending upon how badly he doesn’t win) so it’ll be interesting to see how this unfolds. And also Biden. He basically NEEDS first in those two states to recover. Bernie could stay anywhere in the top 3 and be good but the margin needs to be small, Warren needs help, etc.

so that’s what I mean by interesting! There’s quite a number of ways this could shake up now that the most bland demographic states of the early primary are done.

A disappointing win to say the least. Looks like he’ll be splitting delegates with Buttigieg equally again. Won by a mere ~1%. This isnt momentum

I mean, it is. As a random lady on MSNBC said, there’s just more candidates this time and more who aren’t despised like HRC. With greater diversity in views, narrower wins and losses are expected.

She is right but the Bernie momentum is still low. To win at such a tight margin against two unknowns is still shocking.

Idk if I thought shocking, though. I mean, MSNBC has been ON Buttigieg for quite awhile plus he was investing an enormous amount of time in Iowa and NH. PLUS, Sanders’ campaign really didn’t start picking up traction there until September when they rehired their on the ground person from 2016 since the operation they had wasn’t so hot. All together, this seems about right when factors are considered.

Bernie's gotta PICK IT UP though.

We can't rely on media bumps and positive narratives. We aren't getting ANY of that.

Bernie has been called Trump, an anti-semite, his supporters have been called nazis, hes been accused of wanting to assassinate political figures in Central Park and of being an authoritarian in training.

And that's on the LIBERAL network :lmao:

We need to PUNCH older voters on social security and entitlements. It gave him a little bump and took from Joe, but with Joe falling more and more we gotta expose Pete on this, he recently indicated he would be open to "balancing the budget" with this, so that's our next play.

Expose Bloomberg, Expose Pete. Win.

I've been starting to think the smears ironically kinda help Bernie, just as they did with Trump

Watch this:

Like we've said all season, there's a difference between playing nice and playing smart :selena: You don't draw people onto your side by saying "we're all the same!"

Thats how people can vote for Warren and Pete and Amy and see them as equal despite their very very disparate platforms. Similarly "I'm better than Trump" erases the VERY real differences between candidates.

Only one is willing to fight for universal healthcare. Everyone wants the credit and the name recognition and popularity of "Medicare For All" but Pete and Klobuchar and Biden (rip) are deceiving people in their goals actual efforts to make it a reality. (M4AWWI has no intention of being universal or comprehensive)

I was being sarcastic and trying to point out the fact the mainstream media is accusing Bernie supporters of being mean for exposing pundits with facts and receipts.
