Songwriter Diane Warren, Soprano Anna Netrebko Add ‘Nobel Prize For Music’ To Multi-Million Record Sales

The Grammy-winning songwriter Diane Warren, who has sold more than 250 million records worldwide, has won Sweden’s Polar Prize, often described as “the Nobel for Music.”

Warren has written nine No. 1 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, composing music for Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey, Céline Dion, Cher, Aerosmith, Aaliyah and Whitney Houston. She has won an Emmy, a Grammy, and a Golden Globe in a 30-year career. Her songs have been featured in more than 100 motion pictures, resulting in 11 Oscar nominations.
