Didymus 34,380
I feel so alone but I'm really enjoying his era I like the vibe he's going for visually and the songs are cute and enjoyable and well executed, if unimaginative.

I know this really is off-topic but I find it really baffling how you accept visuals, fashion, vocals, and musical directions of this sort but criticise Enigma which is a much more disciplined, controlled, and expensive presentation. Enigma as a show literally butchers both these performances vocally, visually, as well in choreography and fashion, and yet you criticise it so much. I'm not trying to change your opinion or anything I'm just baffled is all.
messybottom 10,579
it’s so.. bare. men just keep giving the bare minimum while getting praised for it. Our poor pop girls are held to such high standards
KatieJudasGaga4 67,907
I really like the beginning of the Yummy performance, but it doesn't really work well together imo, still good though.
Daylight Jokers 14,958
He should've just kept it stripped down. It sounded tolerable and actually pretty nice that way. Spoiler Those lyrics still haunt me tho.

Meanwhile Gaga is supposedly an art student who wishes to push pop music to new creative heights. Obviously my expectations are higher for her I criticise Enigma because it's a subpar show for the standard she set during her debut years. She should be further along by now but she's settling for mediocrity. Bieber has always settled for mediocrity, that's his job. When he executes that job well, I'll praise him, within the confines of how much that praise is worth (not much). It's literally no more complicated than that. Okay thanks for clarifying though it does give off the impression when we place both your comments alongside each other that these SNL performances are worth more than Enigma, which I'm sure you agree is not a belief you hold. Perhaps it would've been clearer if you clarified that even if you think Enigma was subpar than her previous shows, it is still a great show in comparison to the mediocre presentations offered by other artists. Andreu 37,216
He was more decent vocally than a lot of performances of him I've seen. Visually it was kinda boring.

dynamite 60,034
Oh I actually liked this for what it was... a basic stripped down performance. Still hate the actual song though... and his mustache Also did the green screen fail or was it just meant to look like that Like a poem said by a neydy in red

Hmm... I get what you're saying but I still disagree. Even if Enigma is "better" than these Biebs performances from some points of view, he still delivered what he's supposed to deliver while Gaga didn't. Biebs' performance was solid while Gaga's was a disappointment. I'm not interested in comparing Gaga to Bieber or other "mediocre presentations" by other artists lol. Why? They're playing two different ballgames. What you're asking is that I compare a Big Mac to an undercooked, badly seasoned and presented burger from a gourmet kitchen and say that because it's prepared in a gourmet kitchen and the chef says it was prepared according to the highest standards (a play on Gaga saying she held herself to the highest standard at some Enigma dates), the lousy inedible burger wins by default. That's not fair. I'd rather go for a Big Mac 'cause its mediocrity is both predictable and pleasing because I'm getting what I'm paying for. Probably digging my own grave but yeah. I don't see the point in having to state that Lady Gaga is better than Justin Bieber. That should go without saying. Why we're even trying to compare the two is more horrifying to me. Shouldn't we be more concerned about comparing her to someone like Björk or Madonna? If we have to pat ourselves on the back because she's beating Bieber of all people, then Gaga is really not delivering, my god
