First of all, the link you gave me doesn't say anything about cancer, but it talks about infections like Hepatitis and HIV, which can be prevented by very simple hygienic habits, just pick a tattoo artists that respects safety and you're good to go; this applies not only to tattoos, saying that getting a tattoo can decrease your life span based on that is like saying that eating out or getting a manicure decreases your life span. Second, carcinogens present in tattoo ink are also in a bunch of places, like hair dye. Why won't you tell everyone that dyes their hair they are gonna die soon? Well, I mean, it's definitely not risk-free but it's not that bad either, I'd say you're in real danger if you get it with a bad artist or if you are allergic to the ink.
