When I got my new car I didn’t even bother to program in the stations. All my friends are 35+ too and they don't ALL stream music. Some do, but plenty of people my age don't. I'm 41. My husband doesn't listen to radio but he doesn't "stream" either. He just plays off his Google play playlist of purchased (and illegally downloaded a la Napster ages ago). He has a catalogue of like 30k songs. He's slow to adopt new music. I wonder how many people you know OVER 40. Us old fogies grew up on radio and old habits die hard. I'm all in on Netflix and Amazon Prime, though. Can't think of more than a couple shows I watch on "major networks." TV has gone to crap lately. But music is music and the radio still serves a purpose in introducing new music to a large number of people worldwide. For a LARGE portion of the world, radio is all people have. They are NOT interested. My mother still uses a first generation iPod mini to listen to the same 60 songs over and over. My dad basically only listens to Oldies, Celine Dion and the Beatles. He at least has a current iphone and Apple watch, but he has no desire to ever really listen to music outside of the car radio. Their favorite songs are Telephone, Poker Face and Applause. I play her in the car ALL the time. They know mama has good taste in music. They have been listening to her literally their entire lives.
