No one actually cares this much about the heels. People are looking at the boots, and think they're ugly. That's it. It's not as if those are the ONLY shoes she can possibly wear that won't hurt her. There are a million other pairs of nice looking flat shoes out there. And especially given that these were custom made there is no real reason for a multi-millionaire fashion icon with connections to every major designer to be wearing ugly shoes.

I think she thrives in a less story driven environment Tbh. I miss her old on the fly speeches she used to do. Like she had a guideline and basically said the same things every night but catered it specifically to each audience.

Her vocals were very poor. I never understood why LMs have to pretend they're not If it was Ariana or Beyoncé delivering those exact same vocals, y'all would've trashed them to death for years. When Gaga does it, it's "on point" and "fine"

The problem isn't the show, necessarily, it's the format. She's still deluding herself into thinking that she has to do a pop show a certain way: perform your songs in the original versions with constant yet static choreography, tie the songs together in a loose narrative and explain that narrative through some poorly written speeches. Then sit down at the piano and make things intimate.

It's always the same. And she's not good at it She's not a good enough dancer to pull off these long choreo routines and her vocals are suffering because she keeps trying to do the choreo. In the past she found a balance by designing visually interesting and powerful scenes that didn't require her to do a lot of movement yet made an artistic statement (DIDT at MB 1.0 and 2.0, SHICD at MB 2.0, GH at BTWB etc.). Now it's like she's given up trying to create interesting scenes and is content just doing the same ol' Poker Face choreo or just float around in the air screaming there's paparazzi somewhere. It's exhausting to watch because it's just not interesting and the show isn't moving forward. We're just waiting for the songs to end so then  we can see what's gonna happen. That's not a good show. We should be captivated during the performance pieces.

She's out of ideas basically. Imo she shouldn't bother putting on a show if she's not inspired to create an interesting visual for each and every song. With Enigma I can just feel that she was like "ok, let's do the songs I always do with the arrangements and the choreo I always do and let's just add one or two new pieces to the mix". It's artistically lazy. And no matter how hard she works on the nights themselves, it doesn't make the show any better. Sadly.

I don't think that's true. As long as she puts on a good show, I don't see why anyone would complain. Take this performance for example.

This is one of the all-time fan favorite performances of hers. And yet she barely does any choreography. What she did do is create a captivating audiovisual experience that filled the arena by itself. No intense choreography, back-up dancers or complicated stage theatrics required.

She just had a great idea for a performance and made it happen. And those ideas are what have been lacking these last couple of years. As exemplified by Enigma.

Get creative. My problem isn't the lack of her dancing, but the choreography falls flat. Gibson knew how to make the beat work with the choreography. There was precision and impact. Now feels like people floating in the stage doing random dance moves.

@Didymus In Gaga's defense, I think her vocals were comparatively poor. Like, she still sounded okay, but we've come to experience a higher calibre from her.

I think this was a recent trend of hers after not performing for a while. For example, her first October ENIGMA/J+P dates: she sounded... off, to be polite. But within a few days she sounded as fine as before, if not better than ever. I think scheduling this show after not performing for a while was not the best choice. It seems that rehearsals don't really change a thing.

And on that note, it's worth it to note that her vocals and charisma are literally better than they ever have been before... just in a different setting (Jazz + Piano).
