When she insinutated Madonna doesn't write her own songs. Made herself look a damn fool that day, that surprised me tbh

REALITY

For me it was probably when she released The Cure.

I was not expecting that at all. I woke up the day after the first night and I was just scrolling through Instagram and I saw literally everyone posting about the song with the single cover. I was so excited! I listened to it immediately and I was just so shocked as to how different it was from Joanne, and really, any of her work before that.

I've lowkey been waiting everyday for a surprise like that :bradley:

I was shocked that she included Dance In the Dark in her halftime show along with that medley for her coachella Intro. She always did mashups and remixes of her songs live early on in her career but doesn't do them as often now. so it was surprising!

sidenote: i loved the SXSW vomit performance, especially the reason why she said she did it, i thought it was vulnerable and cool at the same time

It hasn’t happened yet but if she announces another world tour that she’ll end up cancelling half way through

ASIB: the movie.
I was quite shocked by her performance in that movie. Because (don't boo me) I didn't find her performance incredible in AHS: Hotel (except for the last episodes).

And in a bad way I was shocked by her interview in a Swiss newspaper when she dared to tell her fans that if they wanted to see her live, they could come to Las Vegas as if it was so simple and accessible for everybody.

Judas Society

The most? I'd say Sound of Music tribute at the Oscars.

But honestly every era she surprised me. This is really the reason why I stan her.

I must say, the success of ASIB is probably what has shook me the most in my decade of stanning. I knew it would be a hit with LM's, but what I did NOT expect was for it to be an absolutely incredible, instant classic film that even the GP would be obsessed with.... winning oscars and multiple Grammys, a number one hit single, and the jaw dropping sales for the soundtrack. I knew the betch was about to do it when she announced she was going to star in a full length movie, but boy was my weave snatched when she really DID IT to us the way she did. That film completely revolutionized her career and made her GP friendly, which I never saw coming. People don't really make fun of her anymore like they used to, and the amount of people who I never knew were Gaga fans that will now share photos of her or something has been huge since then. She really did that.

Am I the only one who genuinely liked the vomit performance :air: I get that it was gross and possibly the most outrageous thing she's done but it was just so ballsy and daring. She was in a frame of mind where she just didn't give any f*cks. There is no other mainstream pop star that has the guts to do that, especially at a relatively popular festival.
