Bubblegum Bitch 18,934
US President Donald Trump has presented his long-awaited Middle East peace plan, promising to keep Jerusalem as Israel's undivided capital. He proposed a two-state solution and said no Israelis or Palestinians would be uprooted from their homes. Standing alongside Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, Mr Trump said his plan "could be the last opportunity" for Palestinians. "Today, Israel takes a big step towards peace," Mr Trump told officials and reporters at the White House. "My vision presents a win-win opportunity for both sides, a realistic two-state solution that resolves the risk of Palestinian statehood to Israel's security." His proposals are: 1) The US will recognise Israeli sovereignty over territory that Mr Trump's plan envisages being part of Israel. The plan includes a conceptual map that Mr Trump says illustrates the territorial compromises that Israel is willing to make; 2) The map will "more than double the Palestinian territory and provide a Palestinian capital in eastern Jerusalem", where Mr Trump says the US would open an embassy; 3) Jerusalem "will remain Israel's undivided capital"; 4) An opportunity for Palestinians to "achieve an independent state of their very own" - however, he gave few details Source + Read more: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-51288218
Cocaine Heart 4,768
The 2 state solution is dead. Died decades ago. What Palestinian people need to be treated as equal citizens in their own country, access to basic water and healthcare, end the blockade of the Gaza Strip which is just an open area prison and the homes in the East Bank not destroyed and demolished. For a start. We going to boo
LetsGetHigh 52,683
Let's start by giving Palestinian people their land back.

I don't mean to be rude but the issue of an apartheid state and the implications that has is 100000000% more important that tax returns. We already know enough about Trump to know he's corrupt. What we do need is for both the republican and democratic parties to stop taking money from AIPAC lobbyists and not acknowledging the right of Palestinians to exist in dignity. River 127,559
It's just another election campaign for Netanyahu. Shitty plan, shitty solution. It's to put them on their knees and give them bread crumbs. As an Israeli I'm against it, there are better solutions for a real peace. So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
Antonio 27,829
It's interesting to see if something will come from it, or will be another failed plan. There can't be a solution that won't hurt any side, it's a delicate issue to tackle
Guest
Yeah wont work. Middle East wont ever be peaceful sadly its been centuries that there have been wars after wars. One war ends and then another begins, it's very complex to solve them so it lasts for ages
dit 46,738
This has got to be one of the worst proposed plans ever. Palestinians passed on some great ones in the past so that’s a big mistake but this plan was designed to fail and subjugate the Palestinians to even more encroachment, annexation and disenfranchisement. Simply horrible. Shame on the United States of America. Shame.
Woolfsmck 2,763
Most of the people here see reality of this … Trump's team has no clue as to the real issue in that region ... Palestinians want 'all' the land they lost … nothing else really …. This plan is good for the US, and Isreal … go figure... like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. My words give a clue, look inside to see whats true
