Bloomberg & Steyer said that they'd use their big dollars to support the eventual nominee, even if that were Bernie, so yea let's hope they keep their word.

Some journalists on twitter lowkey reported that Bloomberg might be using his money to buy ads against Bernie in the future. He has started to attack him directly at events in the last week as well, including trying to appeal to Jewish people against Bernie (Bloomberg is also Jewish). This could be confirmed later or taken back, but we'll see.

If so, then I guess we'll know that that's what he meant by "he'll support the democrats" with his $1 billion pledge or whatever :rip: ("Democrats" would refer to Corporate Democrats/Establishment apparatus, not the people)

I’m willing to give Bloomberg a chance if Bernie doesn’t get the bid. Still on the fence about Warren these days.

I'd take any competent adult over Trump at this point, at least everyone in the primary

We'll just have to wait and see. I'm sure he'll use his money to attack him in the primary, but attacks (a la warren) only make Bernie stronger.

To people who say Michael Bloomberg isn't that bad - remember that anyone can pay a bunch of  establishment apparatchiks and think tank officials to come up with a "platform" that looks good on paper and is a scientifically calculated mix of populism and establishment sentiment - especially a Billionaire.

The difference is that not every candidate can be trusted to commit to that platform, or to not use it as grandstanding for something they don't believe in, and all we have to base our view of that on is their records. Luckily, Michael Bloomberg's records are readily available.

Michael Bloomberg has publicly stated and held positions to the right of Democrats for decades, and he has even been a Republican in the past when it suited him.

A Turkey is more competent than Trump, but it doesn't mean we have to settle for a Turkey :rip:

To me, we are losing no matter what if the candidate is Bloomberg, Biden, Warren, etc.

I see this as our window to stand up to the undemocratic establishment who have corrupted our system. We might not have that chance for a very long time if we just sit back and let them screw us over again.

Shameless plug but there's a 700K ad buy against Bernie going out to Iowa televisions by an organization where the boardmember of the same organization funding the ad buy is also on the platform committee for the 2020 DNC convention. If that's not corruption or a conflict of interest, I don't know what is.

No. We can vote in the primaries, and have our voices heard, but voting (or not voting) in the general election as a protest won't help anything, it'll just give us more years of Trump. We might not survive that, and it's a miracle we've survived this.

Despite how anyone feels about Bernie (good or bad), don't they realize that Biden would lose badly against Trump? Are they that stupid? What exactly is gained from rigging the process against Bernie? It's not like anyone else has a better chance.

Not only that, but the press has resorted to just openly begging people to take him down.

And to think people denounce the left as conspiracy theorists when we point this stuff out. I just... :rip:

Vote blue, no matter who.

We cannot have another 4 years of Trump.

You should tell that to Buttigieg supporters, since they’re the most likely group to vote for Trump in 2020

Tired of the "vote blue no matter who" "vote for anyone who isn't Trump!" tactics. If they rig then I don't want a Bloomberg, I want a revolution.

Bad press is not the same as rigging, jeez. Bernie is getting vetted for the first time. All the other candidates went through it. Remember the non-stop negative articles about Pete in December when he polled 1st in Iowa? Remember the non-stop negative articles in November about Warren when she was on the rise?

Now that Bernie is polling 1st in a lot of polls, it is his turn to face the heightened scrutiny. Stop acting like everything's a damned conspiracy. Be smarter than that.

Yuppp don’t be surprised when we lose again. The DNC is a bunch of dinosaurs who don’t learn from our mistakes from the last election.
