I do get that, but idk. She’s a pop girl after all, and I think the track is good regardless. It’s not her only track to lack a ton of substance and I’m sure it won’t be her last. Sorry that you’re not that excited but I feel like a lot of fans still are, including myself. I mean we don’t even know anything else about visuals or anything else on the album, so anything can happen. I think the song is fun—maybe Gaga wanted to take a more playful, not-that-deep kinda approach just to dance around to and not think too much about. I’m not always looking for the reinvention of the wheel with music, sometimes a carefree little pop bop is nice too. But that’s just my opinion 🤷🏻‍♂️

I totally agree!! It’s hard to be super excited about a track that she hasn’t even officially acknowledged. I think once it’s fully public it’ll be much more interesting

Why wouldn't people get bored with a demo it's a demo? The internet already moved on because it is a demo. Maybe I'm just missing something but that's usually what happens with leaked demos from high profile artists HYPE 100-0 in a day. I hope I don't sound rude I just assumed that this was normal.

I though that would be fun too but a few metaphors or smarter lyrics would’ve been more fun to me  

Like, i feel most Ava Max songs have better lyrics than this and they’re still about the same level of fun

We still don’t 100% know how old of a demo is it ( the date might be wrong) and how much the song has changed in its final form. ( i hope a lot )

You actually nailed it for me. I've also had the song on repeat since we got access to it and don't personally feel myself getting tired of it anytime soon. It's not a perfect song by any means but it's just really fun to listen to.

However it kind of exists in this liminal space of it being something concrete yet not concrete at all. Like you said: we have no cover art, no promo, no idea if it's even on the album and it gives Stupid Love this weird aura because it doesn't technically belong anywhere and there's no bigger picture to give it context.

I mean, with other leaks (IWBWY, Brooklyn Nights, OOC etc) they came after the albums were out so we had a place to fit them in. Hell, even singles that leaked before release like Judas, Applause and Bad Romance were easier to make sense of because an album was imminent and we as an audience had some sort of concept to fit those songs in.

This is different because Gaga's been very secretive about the whole LG6 process and to be quite frank, as frustrating as it can be to be in the dark sometimes, I prefer it to be this way than have her tease things that may not even come into fruition or give us a misleading idea of what the album will be which will inevitably lead some into disappointment.

yeah that’s true, I do agree. I feel like it’s unfortunately just her trying to keep it short and sweet, easily stuck in people’s heads and lyrics that aren’t “too ARTPOP” to go over people’s heads. BUT also, we could be listening to demo lyrics that are just fillers for different stuff 👀 but yeah, it’s definitely not anything outstanding lyrically. Could be totally different by the time it officially comes out 🤷🏻‍♂️

i think she's gunna come to stun with some visuals that will get everyone who wasn't old enough to appreciate DanceGa 1.0/WeirdGa 2.0 to really take a look at what this weird binch is doing, and everyone who was fully alive back then to relive what they now know were their glory days

Honestly i wasn’t even worried about it being on LG6 cause i pretty much assumed it was going to be in it. But i really want to know about the visuals and what she’s gonna do with it and i’ve always been interested in her concepts and i love watching interviews where she explains her songs and albums and that’s why i don’t like SL being so shallow... cause there’s not much to talk about

Yall are SO delusional. Whenever things don't happen the way you want (SL was not released friday) yall act like gaga's career is over. Even if this wasn't supposed to happen the leak brought an enormous hype and you can't deny it, the song is everywhere. Now we are just disapointed that nothing was released that's it, it's too soon to say that the hype is dead again bc we don't know what will happen next.
