High enough not to be replaced by the promo single released shortly after, if we’re lucky enough :selena:

The Bling

Top 20 debut, might escalate to a Top 10

I doubt it'll go much higher tbh

Battle 4 Ur Life

how can I know if I haven't heard the song tho?

but for a guess anyway I think

debut at #6

top 10 for at least 3 weeks when it will reach #3 or #2

I'm not sure it would go #1 cause it's a fierce sound and so not what mainstream is like rn all midtempo and hip hop.

It will debut №1, bookmark me. I keep listening to SL snippets and it grew on me so much I clearly see it being a massive hit.

I love Gaga but I'm gonna be honest, in the current musical climate, there's absolutely no way SL is smash hit material. :triggered: It'll peak like 5 maybe, and then fall (but much slower than Perfect Illusion). Like it'll be a bigger hit than PI, but like nowhere near the levels of say BTW.

I hope SL isn't the actual lead because it's too safe for her.

Aren't those two kinda contradictory tho? The safe thing to do would be to make a song that goes along the current musical climate and is guaranteed to smash, so regardless of how it charts I fail to see how it's too safe.

Gaga never achieved pop music success being ‘safe’. We’re in an era where musical boundary-pushers like Billie Eilish and RnB/rap artists are having the most success, and I just don’t think releasing something ‘safe’ would be wise commercially or with a view to pleasing many of her fans.

That's exactly what I'm saying. We've only heard a minute of SL but from the sound of it, it's not safe in the sense that it's not what's being played on the radio right now. None of her lead singles have been and that apparently hasn't changed. You said it yourself, the song doesn't fit the current musical climate. How is that safe?
