It sounds good, yes, i really enjoy the whole thing. The song is very good, the chorus reminds a little bit the Savage Garden sound, (take it as a compliment). The production is good, i really like it. Congratulations

“Anaheim guys like bad girls” - Good to know!

I love that lyric

the entire line reads

”Anaheim guys like bad girls, and if you stay here it just makes you worse”

Mirages

I read the title as "Clown Away" and expected a satirical jab at GGD, but came to find an actually decent song :firega:

I’m a classically trained cellist. I feel that most songwriters my age (16) come from the opposite end of knowing nothing about music theory and already knowing how to sing. Singing was a struggle for me but luckily I got some coaching and I am very pleased with how much my voice has progressed. I started writing poetry a little over a year ago and at the same time I was experimenting with writing short little cello pieces and making instrumental songs with them. Before too long I put that poetry to music and my Songwriting abilities strengthened. The lyrics came to me after I was overwhelmed with the feeling of being detached from friends and the world in general; I felt like i was a silent observer, sounds felt muted. For me hot summer night (and hot holiday, the name of my next single) represent this feeling in a sort of ethereal way. The longest nights of the summer when the heat overcomes you and you can’t think of anything else except the night sky. Come Away is a love story written from the standpoint of someone who is overcome with that detached feeling.

The only experience that I have with production is trial and error. I experiment until I am satisfied. The synth melodies were from me improvising on cello and polishing what I had came up with improvising. The song really came together when my guitarist layed down some parts. His guitar parts opened up my mind and gave me a ton of ideas of how to finish the sound. I wanted it to be loud, but never harsh. I wanted to create an atmosphere through layering that was ethereal. Listening back to the song, I am mystified at how I made it. Artists like Gaga and my other idols (Bowie, Gainsbourg) felt so untouchable, their music was unachievable for the regular person. But somehow I created something that could be shared and that could bring joy to others just like my idols have brought joy to me. And I’m so humbled to be able to do that for others, it makes me the happiest I could ever be.

I'm loving the eighties vibe. You transported me back to the early nineties when eighties culture was still prominent.

I love the song and the video. :diane: You're a star in the making. Don't forget about us when you get famous.

Yessssssss, I loved the snippet, and I didn't expect the whole thing to be so professional, from the song to the video. :diane:

The production is fire AND the lyrics are great :bradley:

It's my turn next. I've been making music (piano and drums) since I was 5 and writing songs since I was 8, I had to learn English by myself and I'm 20 now so I'm really excited but I'm so f*cking scared to share my songs with everybody… Because music is like therapy, I put my whole soul in my songs, and if people don't like it much it's going to hurt me :selena: Were you cared before posting your songs? Especially this one, this it seems to be your first "big" piece of work.

Omg even the voice has 80s placement. Its a terrific job. Maybe a bit different phrasing would make it sound more modern. Overall a hit song in a way tbh
