Should Speechless Been A Single?

If she had mastered the demo version and released it as the final product, I would’ve loved for it to have been a promo single! IMO the demo is untouchable compared to the final version we received (I love the final version too)

Religion is a product to sell.

Absolutely. She pours so much work into these projects and yet BTW is her only era with 5 singles; The Fame had 4; The Fame Monster and ARTPOP had 3 (though DWUW had no MV and G.U.Y. was barely promo'd); Joanne had 2 (3 if you count 'Joanne (Piano)'); and, ASIB had 1. That is a shockingly small collection of singles when you consider the amazing album tracks, demos, etc. not to mention the entire ARTPOP album beyond Applause.

Most popstars released 4 singles per album during that timeframe, but it wasn't uncommon for 5+ singles from peak eras like 'Breakaway' and 'Teenage Dream,' for example. 2009 Gaga was on top of the world, and really should have released a full LP of ~12 tracks with the material we have from then demo-wise. TFM was immaculately curated IMO, and because of that, I wish she had released every song as either an official or promotional single with MVs that told the entire story.

She hadn't peaked below #6 on the Hot 100 by the end of TFM, and her MVs were epic. I think 'Dance in the Dark' would have been top 3 and its MV iconic, 'Speechless' would have been top 10 and shown off her vocal skill way sooner than it happened, and 'SHICD' would have been a less dark bop with an experimental sound to end the era.

I think with 4 full U.S. singles, AOTY would've been hers and perhaps 'Speechless' could have nabbed the SOTY nom/win that 'Bad Romance' deserved.
