it helps them keep the image of awarding "art" and not just "commercial success"

I don't think anyone in the world sees them like that anymore

everyone sees them like rigged sexists and racists

they just hit a new low at this years ceremony imo

They should erase one category between ROTY and SOTY and add one in the Pop field to reward writers/composers.

We need a Best Pop Song category

Most Grammys won by a female artist :

1. Alison Krauss - 27 Grammy

2. Beyoncé - 24 Grammy

3. Aretha Franklin - 18 Grammy

4. Adele/Alicia Keys - 15 Grammy

6. Ella Fitzgerald/Emmylous Harris/Leontyne Price - 13 Grammy

9. CeCe Winans - 12 Grammy

10. Lady Gaga/Shirley Caesar - 11 Grammy

This is not how it's done though. . First off, this list is inconsistent with the logic it supposedly follows, which is counting each person who's tied as separate.

Following that logic all the way through, Gaga would be #11, not 10.

But people who are tied are all counted as own place. So actually Gaga is tied for #7 place

Some ranking systems consider literal top 10 individuals so the position is averaged. It depends on how you look at it.
