So who is releasing this friday? Time to be clowns every week until LG6 lead drops

Dua (new single), Kesha & Lil Wayne (albums).

A reminder that Gaga released Shallow the day before the last Wayne's album and ASIB the following week :ally:

Demi and Camila making more noise than Ariana and Billie. I could not believe. :poot:

Only Demi was bigger than Ari thought, nobody can claim victory over BTS stans :huntyga:

I think it's weirder that Billie was less talked-about though. Wasn't she supposed to be the main event? :ladyhaha:

It would make sense to release the lead next friday, perform it at that superbowl thing on saturday and upload that performance on youtube since it will be the first music thing that she has done that the public can watch since like the Oscars. :ally: But releasing this past week and performing at the grammys would have made even more sense so...:flop:

Maybe Interscope didn't want both Gaga and Billie to have attention at grammys so Billie will have the attention this week and then when her grammy hype is down Gaga can release her next #1 :queenga:

This year's Grammys were so weird, honestly, in terms of time management and performance slots layout. Billie's performance was pretty lowkey, especially compared to the other performers (Demi and Camila also sang slow songs but their emotional moments really called people's attention).

It felt like the show dragged for much more than it actually did and little to no emphasis was actually given to the awards being presented during the, you know, award show.

So combine a not so memorable performance + not a lot of focus on the awards = Billie not being the top talked about person of the night.

Yeah, I'm torn about this. I had strong faith in a Jan 24 release + Grammys debut (she would have got all eyes on her), but looking at the controversy, I think it's better this way.

That Super Bowl thing seems kinda irrelevant though. She better come to Europe and capitalize on her momentum here, Murica doesn't deserve the focus in another Joanne kind of era :coffee:

Not to be mean but like... I'm curious when the pressure will get to Billie. Cuz like... the Grammys gave her both the biggest honor but also the biggest burden to wear. All eyes will be on her for the next release and people will tear her to shreds if it's not "up to par" with her debut at least. In a sense, the Grammys totally set her up for failure with her sophomore release. :bradley:

True but there isn't really any relevant promo spot to do right now right? I can only think of SNL and that should be coming for the album release, not for lead single only. Other then that i can only think of talk shows and those barely do anything.

This is before the Grammy, and I think Saturday-Sunday rankings are always messy because they are just about who has thrown more streams compared to weekdays. For example, Shallow is always one of the dropped songs on weekends.
