I don’t recall having 2 FILY different versions. Flop fan. What are the differences?!

The version used in the video is different to the one on streaming and on the CD and the main difference is the drums.

I think this is about not having a written credit on one of the songs so maybe the audio itself will be the same

Unless she will pull a Beyonce and snatch a writing credit on Doin Time :vegas:, that would mean they'll credit the Cinnamon Girl sample, I guess.

I think you might he right.

I'm not really familiar with how award shows handle this. Does this affect its Grammy nomination?

Voting for this award ceremony ended already. If her album was nominated for something, she should be fine. Otherwise, a reprint or re-release to fix something like this won’t have much impact for the Academy.

the biggest and most noticeable difference is the percussion during the chorus, bridge, and outro. This is the version on the vinyl and disc

I know, but disqualification is a possibility. I hope not tho. NFR is the only deserving nominee to win AOTY.

She’s fine lol. No disqualification, this happens a lot.

Billie’s album just got re-released too

The originals are better than the ones released on the physical formats anyways, this is a good thing imo, especially for people who collect.

I'm lost. I just found out that there are 2 versions of FIILY like West Coast. Also, I wasn't aware that there's this version of Hope where they're talking at the end.

Anyway, can somebody help me clarify about the other version of Doin' Time cover, specially the issue with the sampling they used on the outro of Cinnamon Girl? I'm so intrigued.

I included a new version of Doin' Time in the possible scenarios because a record store site specifically said there is going to be a new version of Doin' Time on the re-release. https://www.bengans.se/cgi-bin/ibutik/AIR_ibutik.fcgi?funk=visa_artikel&artnr=3720367 Howe reliable is, I don't know but I guess we'll find out in a few days.

But fans think could be about Cinnamon Girl because another site said there is a sampling issue and the only sample of this album is in this song's outro. (https://www.roughtrade.com/gb/lana-del-rey/nfr-new-version?utm_source=CJ&cjevent=bfc1c0922ffb11ea838d031d0a18050c) In this case, they would either have to remove the sample (which I think is unlikely) or give writing credits for the song to more people.
