New version of NFR to be released January 10th

So apparently many record stores will be making available a new version of Lana's Norman F*cking Rockwell on January 10th and people assume it's going to be a different audio or tracklisting. Possible scenarios are that they'll replace the album version of **** It I Love You with the single version, they'll put a new Doin' Time version, they'll cut the extended version of hope with the recording of Lana and Jack talking or it's something related  to the sample used in the outro of Cinnamon Girl.

New version after an issue with a sample. The always incredible Lana Del Rey is back with her amazing new album NFR!. Coming in at fourteen songs strong, it once again shows this lady's knack for a killer song with her own unique style stamped all over it. From the string drenched opener of Norman ******* Rockwell you get a good idea of where this album's coming from and with titles such as Venice ***** and The Next Best American Record she's definitely made a stunning return to form. Another standout is the current single, a cover of Sublime’s Doin’ Time. Lana proves it is big, tough and clever to swear.

I'm not really familiar with how award shows handle this. Does this affect its Grammy nomination?

We don't know if it's a new version because there was an issue with the previous version and they were obliged to change it so they won't get into trouble because of the sampling or if it's just a new version for the sake of it.. but I am pretty certain it can't affect its Grammy nom. I think there were even Grammy nominated or winning songs that were sued.

I hope that makes sense. :poot:

I know, but disqualification is a possibility. I hope not tho. NFR is the only deserving nominee to win AOTY.

This feels like when I bought both the ASIB Soundtrack and Movie on release date and then 735 different versions were released after I got mine :selena:

Apparently this kind of thing happens all the time with physical albums. I mean she's not adding any new songs, just clearing a sample and fixing FIILY

The Hope outro doesn't really add much, most people don't even know it's there since it's not in the streaming versions of the song.

Voting is already over so I doubt it.

I think this is about not having a written credit on one of the songs so maybe the audio itself will be the same

I don’t recall having 2 FILY different versions. Flop fan. What are the differences?!
