In August 2018 I thought we’d get an announcement by February. 

Then in February 2019 I was certain we’d get an announcement by Spring

Then in The spring when she tweeted about “ being pregnant with lg6” I KNEW we’d get a single by summer

Then summer came and went and I was positive we’d get one by fall

Next thing we know it’s last week and this b*tch tweets about smelling like sh*t and I WAS POSITIVE we’d get an announcement on Christmas.

Now I’m holding onto hope that it’ll come as a New Years present, but at this point I’ve excepted my delusion

Yeah, same. I never really thought it was coming right after ASIB or even last spring/summer—especially as Interscope had Billie and Madonna releasing during that time. I did think she would probably come in November 2019, as that would be pretty much exactly three years after Joanne and about a year after ASIB.

Maybe I'm a clown, but I do think it's coming soon. Those French journos at the UMG open house event (legit journos, who write for big music magazines and one had profiled Lana recently, etc.) said very early/early 2020. Stan twitter kept twisting and changing the story and adding more artists to their original comments, so I think a lot disregarded it....Anyway, combine that with the next few months being fairly quiet in terms of releases and Gaga's tweet that makes it sound like she might be on a deadline and .

Granted, it's also possible labels are holding back on releases because of Adele who was rumored to be dropping before the holidays.

I honestly kind of wonder if it has to do Adele, in that the label pushed Gaga's release date back a little bit to avoid Adele and so Gaga decided to do more work on the album. There were a couple of journos, and not just randos on ATRL, claiming Adele was supposed to release before the holidays. At the end of the day, record companies are all about the $$$$ and releasing at the same time/in the same time frame as Adele is bad business. Kind of like other movies are rarely released the same time as Marvel releases.

*And I really doubt Gaga's joke tweet about naming the album Adele was supposed to be shady or lashing out at her label, but maybe Adele was on her mind because of that and so she decided to make a dumb joke?

I was definitely much more expecting in the first 6 months of 2019 (& all of 2018 lmao) but yeah my radar is off, no one knows anything at all and she’ll announce when she does
