Better Day

Better Day - Dolly Parton - 10/10

Despite being 65 at the time of it being released she still has a quite little voice she had during her early days. She still stayed true to her roots but with a modern rock twist throughout the album. you can hear her voice has changed a lot from her earlier hits but she can still sing. She also uses no autotuned than most older singers - MDNA :lolgaga: - So give it a listen :hor:

Daft Punk- Random Access Memories

Rating: 8.5/10

Filled with smooth grooves and memorable hooks RAM is definitely one of the better albums to come out this year. Perhaps my only complaint is that I felt the album was too long, and I personally have an aversion for albums that go beyond the 60 minute mark.

WhiplashCowboy

Leona Lewis - Glassheart 9/10

Nice change from Leona. She took an interesting direction. She should make more albums like this. Sure an improvement on Echo. Also better than Spirit.

Highlights: Trouble, Glassheart, Come Alive, Lovebird

Mariah Carey - The Emancipation Of Mimi 9/10

The album that revived her career in 2005. Better than Charmbracelet. She should go back to this type of albums.

Highlights: We Belong Together, Fly Like A Bird, Get Your Number, It's Like That

Mariah Carey - Rainbow 9.5/10

Her best attempt to hip-hop. She does a good job on this. Her second best behind Daydream.

Highlights: Crybaby(her best song ever), Heartbreaker, After Tonight, TGIFY, How Much

I actually love this album, regardless of how poorly she performs it on tour or during performances. Kind of bittersweet because the music is really good but the performer isn't  :noparty:

The ArchAndroid - Janelle Monae

10/10

One of the most genre-busting albums I have ever listened to, from one of the most flawless queens in existence. You'll find yourself dancing as well as thinking to the music :legend:
