Lion Heart 15,041
Kanye West- Yeezus Rating: 9.0/10 For the first half of the record Kanye West explodes on the mic and raps about several themes such as slavery and consumerism while a hard, jarring, thunderous beat travels along with the flow. The atmosphere created here reminds me of Death Grip's "No Love Deep Web" and other works: aggressive expression coupled with a cacophony of synth riffs and stark beats and other great stuff. The pace then slows down and we get classic Ye being all smooth and ****. "Hold My Liquor" is one of the album's highlights. Ye then closes this album with the glorious "Bound 2." It's definitely one of the best albums to come out this year. ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀
Sister 9,907
Kanye West with Yeezus 8/10 I wouldn't buy it, but while I didn't think it was groundbreaking, it wasn't a bad listen. I give some credit where credit is do. It was fresh and explosive and not dumb. I think he's alot better than most others putting out music these days and talking a big game. The future's uncertain and the end is always near.
Nastix 66
Yeezus - Kanye West (2013) This is a very interesting effort from Kanye. It's probably the most experimental album you're gonna hear from a mainstream artist. Listening to the album was a challenging experience. I had to listen to it few times before decidiing what to even think, and it's brilliant. The theme of most of the album is dark and fits the industrial-influenced production. My only problem is Kanye's attitude, which is kinda megalomanic, but I guess I could forgive him with such a great album. 8.5/10.
n0ne 13,105
Omens by 3OH!3 = 7.5/10 Not as good as their previous stuff but still worth a buy. A different direction that will take some time to get used to. I definitely think the deluxe edition should be available as a physical CD release not just a digital download or the bonus tracks should have replaced some of the standard editiion tracks, because they were better. ZacharyyyM 0
Paramore - Paramore * Hayley Williams is just so stunning, her voice is incredible and the music that Paramore produces is just amazing to me. I love every song as much as the last on this album, just like I did for all the other albums. Love the two singles on this album 'Now' and 'Still Into You' as well. Hayley Williams is so gorg in both of the music videos too :) *
7Days 7
Koda Kumi_Japonesque 9/10 Ayumi was the only Japanese singer I was listening to but I found Koda Kumi very interesting when I listened the 1st time to this album. The sound of the album isn't very J-Pop (except the Japanese lyrics mixed with a bit of English) but more electronic dance like you hear on radios. I'm gonna listen to more of her albums to see what this girl hold in her store. Favorite songs: Slow, Boom Boom Boys, So Nice, No Man's Land, Love Technique. n0ne 13,105
8.5/10 7.5/10 I just recently discovered him and I really like him; he's different, hot, original, and talented. I definitely see the Queen and Freddie Mercury influences/resemblances in his voice and work. Between his 3 albums, The Boy Who Knew Too Much is my favorite followed by The Origin of Love, then Life in Cartoon Motion. I think with The Origin of Love his style change was nice but it came off odd and too Owl City-like imo. I think The Boy Who Knew Too Much was a good blend of the genres/productions of Life in Cartoon Motion and The Origin of Love. "My people… need to let our bitchiness out. gagalovesme 2
blondie, the essential collection 10/10 over the past week i've recently become obsessed with blondie/ debbie harry. i used to listen to them as a kid but my mum only had this album so i didn't get into them that much. but after playing this collection of their best hits again, it's made me realise how amazing they are! the songs are just so catchy, with a fabulous 70s/80s beat, i've fallen in love with them all, especially 'die young, stay pretty', 'rifle range', 'x offender' & 'platinum blonde'. i bought 'parallel lines' & 'eat to the beat' on amazon a couple of days ago so i can't wait to listen to them as well, especially as they're meant to be their best albums

gagalovesme 2
eat to the beat- blondie 9/10 i love most of the songs on this album, they all contain blondie's trademark unique style along with debbie harry's powerful voice. my favourites are dreaming, union city blue, accidents never happen & die young stay pretty. the only one i'm not too keen on is 'victor', the screaming just gets on my nerves! i'm still very much blondie obsessed ;)
