Nastix 66 Posted May 19, 2013 Share Posted May 19, 2013 Free the Universe - Major Lazer (2013) Very neat album with lots of Reggae rooting along with electronic sound. The features list is really crazy and it adds a lot to the tracks and Major lazer has really shown good effort for this album. Even though few tracks are a bit annoying there are lots of gems, either party tracks like Jet Blue Jet, or ones from the more calm type like Get Free. 7/10. I'm a Lana Del Rey fan and I feel in love with them, you can hear Lana in them and that's probably due to the fact that they shared the same producer. They got a pretty big Radio hit in Germany a few months ago (Little Talks), so I finally decided to listen to the whole album. It has this scandinavian vibe in it, little bit of folk, indie and electronic. In my opinion they created something totally unique and every song is a standout. The voices of the lead singers (male & female) match so perfectly together.
