And it did get covered by the tabloids before social media became so prevalent (I don't think they could even for sure identify Gaga, although it is her imo and not an impersonator, so it was "alleged" or something like that), and I wish fans would correct this ish calmly instead of flipping out and making it way worse and go more viral—it's happened before where fans dog pile on, instead of correcting it calmly or leaving it alone once they've seen people correct it, and make this image blow up even more. It's also why I can't with the fans who pass around that edited V magazine cover that makes her look even darker (she already had a Snooki tan), because they think it's "fun" (it's not). Because it was clear the stans who try to destroy other stars would always pair it with this pic from 2009 or whatever and try to ruin her. Anyway, as a long time fan this is the very worse thing in Gag's past and it pops up occasionally...I've been worried people would try to "cancel" her for it ever since twitter stans got in the habit of digging up the past— because it is awful (not nearly as awful and bad as actually wearing b*lckface or using slurs like Camila, but it is still pretty bad). In 2010-2011, when it first came out, it hurt her a bit...but if the mainstream publications start covering it in 2020 again it will be way worse. Hopefully this doesn't get past twitter. That said, all the main pop girls who started a decade ago have something on this level or worse (I have a weird memory and remember scandals).
