Actually even ARUTW has its small chances to win SOTY by their predictions, it's not a really big difference between #1 and #5. Last year Joanne won while having 244 votes while the #1 predicted song had 973 votes

The only thing I love from GoldDerby is that they always believe in Gaga :lolly:

I fear for Best Song Written For Visual Media, I fear Beyoncé might snatch it from us :messga:

Lizzo losing all to Billie :giggle:

According to the site she's only winning two.

Billie snatching AOTY? Uh huh I don't think so

Michelle Obama snatching that Grammy

I see everyone ignoring the fact that back in 2018, y'all were shading GoldDerby for saying that Ed was going to win Pop Album and Pop Solo over Kesha (2nd) and Gaga (3rd), and we already know who won. Same in 2016 when they said "Glory" was winning Song for VM over "Til It Happens to You". They also did predict that C2C was going to win Traditional Pop Album and Shallow was going to win Pop Duo and Song for VM, so they're not always 100% wrong about Gaga, just like the topic says, they are right at least 85%-90% of the times.

"Till It Happens to You" case at the Oscars was very complicated, because Original Song at that award season was a mess. This year we knew right away that Shallow was winning the Oscar because it won the Golden Globe, the Critics Choice, the Grammy and the Satellite. However, back in 2016, the main competitors were "See You Again", "Till It Happens to You" and "Writing's on the Wall". At the GG, TIHTY was not nominated because songs from documentaries are not elegible, so WOTW won over SYA. Then at the CC, SYA won over TIHTY and WOTW. At the Satellite's, TIHTY won over WOTW and SYA. At the Grammys, "Glory" (Oscar winner in 2015, which wasn't nominated the year before because it wasn't elegible), won over TIHTY and SYA, (WOTW was snubbed). Then at the Oscars, SYA got snubbed, so it was WOTW vs TIHTY, and neither one was a front-runner through the whole award season tbh, so they predicted the better song (TIHTY), but the most popular one ended up winning (WOTW), which is fair because really no one watched The Hunting Ground, unlike Spectre, which was the sitxth highest-grossing film of 2015.

Isn’t the Lion King soundtrack credited as “various artists” though?  Beyoncé only sings on two tracks, why would she get the Grammy?

Gaga has Compilation Soundtrack on lock; the album should’ve been an AOTY nominee and most agree with that sentiment. There’s no way that diss won’t be made up for with a consolation prize in this category. ASIB - the album - will be rewarded with a Grammy and this is the last and only chance to do so.

”Spirit” has slight chances of pulling an upset in the Song category, but ASIB had so much more crossover appeal than LK; as a song written for film, INLA is a masterpiece and I think Gaga will be an 11x winner this winter.

With more promo she’d be claiming AOTY and SOTY as well, to go join previously snubbed Pokerface (ROTY), Fame (AOTY), Bad Romance (ROTY, SOTY), and Shallow (SOTY, ROTY).
