StarstruckIllusion 52,289
Imagine choosing to offend someone who worked insanely hard, smart and dedicatedly for months on months on end, over someone who just sits and eats poorly all day. Dutch 90,619
Why shouldn’t we celebrate that somebody achieved what they wanted? Plus being overweight is just less healthy, so I’m happy for her she’s rocking that healthy life. I know the difference myself and it’s a great feeling. To me she looked good both big and small so when it comes to that I don’t really care. Sometimes we just need to stop making something positive into something “woke” negative. She lost weight, people are happy for her, the end.

Sneaky Oliver 21,997
I think there is a reason to celebrate if the weight loss made the person healthier, we all know how losing weight (even for health reasons) can be hard and if somebody goes through this, we can congratulate them, yes idk about Adele. If the person loses weight because of a disease or by crazy diets because of beauty standards, it’s obviously problematic
Taide 5,789
No. Being overweight/obese isn't healthy nor beautiful, and this comes from ex-obese / still currently overweight person.
Gypsy Life 118,907
Not problematic: "Congratulations on your weight loss, Adele. Very happy for you" Problematic: "Look Sabrina you fat bitch, see how Adele lost weight? Take notes!"

It's not healthy to be fat, just like being underweight isn't healthy.

I understand this, I know when I started putting on weight I was basically patronised and had this weird thing where my family kept commenting on my ass size after I gained weight too. But I wish we could just be happy for people or mind our own business.
