My thought is who cares? I mean...she lost weight. Why is everyone making a big deal about this? Is it because she was bigger before?

I don’t think it’s a problem celebrating someone else’s weight loss. If it’s something that they personally wanted to fulfill to make them happier, why shouldn’t we celebrate it?

It is something to celebrate :fail:

Giving someone a pat on the back for dropping weight in a healthy way is not malicious towards other overweight people.

These people need to stop inserting their own complexes into others' lives.

I think the tweet is ridiculous and unnecessarily dramatic. Why do people always have to look for a ****ing problem? It doesn't tell your 'fat friends' anything.

I lost weight due to a severely depressive episode and people congratulated me, I didn't feel offended. It was the only positive thing to come out of it. Unless you go from a healthy weight to an unhealthy weight then I'd rather risk it and say well done tbh... Because it probably is due to lifestyle changes and hard work... Losing weight is ****ing hard!

I think the underlying problem is that if people are sensitive enough to be triggered by this, they should stay off the internet anyway

I mean... being fat isn’t good for you and often a sign of not taking care of yourself as is being super skinny so I don’t see why we shouldn’t celebrate it? If you’re personally comfortable with it then you do you and if you wanna lose it like she did then do it.

She worked with a personal trainer so she did it off her own back, so let’s celebrate her feeling happy, because she’s not exactly skinny she still has a bit of a tummy in some of the pics and that’s ok too.

All bodies are beautiful

I mean I agree with everything you said, but the 2nd point the tweet was trying to make is that we DON'T know if she lost her weight in a healthy way

She had a personal trainer according to @gagzus

But yeah, I didn't know for sure, that's why I made the distinction.

People thinking it’s problematic are the real problem here. What are we supposed to feel like when a woman chooses to lose weight? It is her decision and good for her for achieving her goals. Let women do what they want with their bodies. There is nothing problematic about this.

Her weight loss isn’t problematic but treating her as if she became beautiful only after loosing weight is.

Does Adele feel good about herself? If the answer is yes, and that's certainly the way it is, nobody cares about these try-hard irrelevant SJWs trying to find something pRoBLeMaTiC about weight loss while promoting and celebrating obesity.

/endthread.

Oh my god... I can't. This has to rival "can white people learn foreign languages" as the dumbest thing I have read on the internet
