Spears was speaking to a Spanish journalist, who asked if she liked the country’s music. Britney replied, “Yes, I really like it. From Paulina Rubio to Kylie Minogue.”

When she was told that Kylie is Australian and Paulina is Mexican, she hastily tried to cover up her embarrassing mistake by adding, “I still think they’re great.”

Why the need to make this thread?  What are the intentions?  Sounds like another stupid way to make Britney look stupid just like that one fake quote she allegedly said about Japan “I don’t like Japan because I hate sushi” which turned out to be bull. Even if this is true, she is Britney Spears.. She doesn’t need to know anyone

I don't think it is that embarrassing for an Anglophone to not understand whether the interviewer was asking about Spanish-language music or artists from the country of Spain.  It seems ambiguous to me.  (Kylie Minogue doesn't really make sense but maybe she has a song in Spanish idk)

Besides, I doubt that many English-speakers can name a musician from Spain off the top of their head
