I applaud her for releasing these statements. She seems to "get it" now and hopefully she can move on from this. She was so young when she said those things. I'd hate to see a transcript of things I've said when I was 14. It wouldn't be pretty

What I find funny is some of y'all who will come for that Billie girl whenever she breathes and say she's old enough to understand what she's doing yadda yadda but when it comes to Camila she's too young and innocent and of course she didn't know the implications of her actions. Seems like selective outrage is this cult site's best friend.

Oh well, at least she apologized. Better than sweeping it under the rug, I suppose.

The cancellation is reasonable imo. While it's understandable why many kids goof like this, it's also understandable why some of her POC fans might feel hurt by this. These are the consequences. 

Sure, her career might be hurt. But there are other ppl who don't even get job offers due to the colour of their skin.

You could say the same about Gaga. Where was she when Monsters were calling Bey "beyst" and making derogatory terms against her?

Camila is not incharge of what her fans think, say or do. Neither is Gaga. Stan twitter is very toxic and can be racist a lot of the times. You are acting like Camila was personally derogatory against Normani, which was not the case. Not defending the racist comments by her fans, or by Gaga fans agaisnt PoC... but I'm not sure if it is their place to "make a statement" on behalf of her fans. 

She is apologising because, yet again, stan twitter want to cancel her over something she has moved on from AND changed for the better/put her money where her mouth is. Its not just a little apology so you can keep streaming her music, its because she cares about the people and its clear she does not think the same as when she was 14 years old. Its not just some PR
