I'm starting to think that #1's are not that important anymore. Yes, they are great when an artist can achieve them but they aren't indicative of the overall success of an album. She's doing great and is in high demand so a tour is probably going to do very well :golfclap:

Not when her tour is flopping and she added BUNDLES, alternative covers and other tactics to her album and still couldn’t get number one :rip:

Meh, 80+k isn't that bad in the era of streaming. A lot of her fans are young and only stream, and it's way harder to make those numbers when the audience does that....Also, lol Roddy isn't an "unknown"—he just snagged a few Grammy nods and if you are into hip hop/rap you've probably heard of him.

Honestly, the numbers make me think that Harry Style is kind of genius marketer. He has a semi nude poster in the vinyls, so all his fans are buying vinyls and streaming....Gaga ought to do something similar.

Her 80k includes streaming numbers...

Camila Cabello! She used to be part of a girl group and had a song called Havana.

I don't think it's the nude photo sdksafd but everyone is here for the vinyl, for sure.

I've just spent the last couple days at Fine Line events and the flash sale of merch/mp3s for early access to the Forum show (and the London show) is THE model to follow. I sincerely hope Gaga plays the Forum and MSG during release weekend. It's a great way for stans to pour their energy into a tangible event that isn't just a tv hit (which are real f*cking boring).

LOL I worded that poorly in that I made it seem like a big chunk was due to the nude photo. I think it helped, but yeah...his marketing in general has been genius (plus, good reviews and a solid fanbase obviously helps..and I've noticed on social media his fanbase has been encouraging people to buy and buy/download in addition to streaming).

Nah, Thinking this over there is a reason why he is #1 he is a rapper from compton. Of course people are gonna hype up a compton rapper. Yeah so far his music is sucking to me, young urban kids are the ones who choose the hits now days.

Do you know how offensive you sound :enigma:

#3 with:

1. Tour bundle that's FLOPPING

2. 300M Spotify playlist audience payola

3. 5 singles that all flopped

4. Attaching one of the biggest hits of the year, Senorita, to her album (but I thought she was the reason it smashed)

5. Collab already with one of the biggest new streaming artists in the past 5 months that's just a Havana rehash (and it's STILL flopping)

6. 20+ different merch bundle deals on website all discounted. Some even hitting $3.49 (the bare minimum for an album sale to count already)

7.  MULTIPLE Performances all over the world on some of the biggest shows (SNL, Graham Norton and more)

8. Multiple huge budget videos.

Imagine if she didn't have a tour bundle or Senorita on the album... Literally what? 20-30k?

:fan:

@ The heavy promo :deadbanana: Looks like it will be her last studio album, her songs and personality is annoying tho  :rip:
