It only makes sense since she will never come back to them

The bitterness and unnecessary hate towards someone you never met is beyond in this reply and it’s kinda tragic and sad. Imagine hating someone who you’ve never met like this. Sad life you’re living.. :kara: It’ll get better! I wish you luck!

OT good for her! She dominated the charts for more than 7 years and she’s been the best selling female artist, breaking every record there is, releasing hit after hit. Only bitter people who wish their fave was this successful can undermine her success.

Actions speak louder than words hun :ohwell:

And her not promoting any of her latest songs AT ALL proves that she doesn’t want to have hits and to chart well.

So what? I don't need constant reminders they're human. Of course they are. So are we. Is it meaningful for us non-celebs to go around telling everyone it's not just about making money? The most boring, white-person-with-too-much-time-on-their-hands comment possible. Why pop stars and their fans think it's interesting for them to repeat it in an interview context is totally beyond me.

We don't want your human side. We want your brand. Deliver it and talk to your friends about balancing pop star life with your relationship. I don't care.

Right. Just like there are more important things to worry about than to hear Katy friggin' Perry talk about how it makes her happy to be with her family and fiancé. Like, who gives a ****, honestly. I'm tired of these pop stars thinking their banal life stories are worth listening to. Do your job like the rest of us.

It might not be a black and white cover-up situation for her, but it definitely is for her label and all they care about is strategy :laughga: When in doubt just try to make headlines saying you're happy with your relationship!!! It works every time which is the pathetic thing. Whatever they can make her say to get into the spotlight and have people say "awww Katy I'm glad she's found happiness" (like we give a flying ****) they will make her say. It's tragic.

Just my opinion anyway :emma: I'm just here for the music and the art. And I can't stand people applauding pop stars for mentioning some of their personal feelings. That's not news. That's not an event. It's a waste of our time. If Katy really cared about shuffling priorities she would tell us to stop buying her basic music and focus on living our own lives. But no, she's still playing the game, trying to get us to spend money on her. So yes, it actually is black and white in that context. Either she wants us to believe her brand or she has to quit and allow us to move on from her. But of course she won't do that, now would she? And that's what annoys me. Play the game or leave it.

What was your view on Gaga sharing her personal life stories and saying stuff like “now I’m happy to wake up with myself”?

I'm glad she's stopped caring. But to be quite honest, NRO could've been a massive hit if she just did some live performances and promotion.

Same happened to Gaga with ARTPOP (even though I consider it a succesfull album). They stop dominating the charts, and they "dont care" anymore. Thats BS

Adding her name to that Con Calma remix? That song with Zedd? Three singles + videos released already even before the “official first single” is released?

Gurl, she’s tried 5 times already for a hit but got maybe half a hit with NRO.

But she literally didn’t prote any of the songs you mentioned? :huntyga: I don’t see your point. Con Calma had one performance on a show that is not relevant anymore, others had one or none... She releases music but doesn’t promote it at all and that is because she doesn’t want to.

But i don’t think the 5 songs she did are even her idea. I can agree with you that she did hardly any promoting - but neither does Beyonce, Gaga, Pink or most singers over 30. Yet the 5 songs she’s released in the last year tells me her label still thinks Katy can come up with a hit. They haven’t given up on her (yet). I think Katy is just being more sensible than her label right now, who seem to keep throwing ideas at her hoping that something sticks, which nothing has so far.

And she’s kinda shading her label in a way, telling them (via the press) that being a hit machine is not a job for life. Obviously. I respect her for what she’s saying. In terms of her 5 singles, she’s just doing what a gurl’s gotta do, even if she ain’t into it. She cares way less than her label does, they keep pushing ha yet she’s like “Enough!” :messga:

I think she wants out of her contract, so she can finally make the music that she wants.

She earned 40 millions dollars in a year and in her flop era. I mean, if i were her i would do the same, maybe the music and charts is not the thing that give her more profit now. Also she has  someone by her side. You are good Katy, they might say whatever they want to say about you, but your character has evolved.
