Cupid Boy 410
Celine Dion‘s new album ‘Courage’ has landed the biggest chart fall in history for an album debuting at Number One on Billboard. Last week, the Canadian singer topped the Billboard 200 chart with her comeback collection, selling 113,000 equivalent units. Of that sum, almost all were pure sales, as the set actually sold 109,000 physical copies (boosted by a bundle offer tying albums to tickets for Dion’s Courage World Tour). This week, the album fell out of the top 100. According to Chart Data, Dion’s ‘Courage’ dropping out of the top 100 on this week’s Billboard 200 is the biggest fall ever for an album debuting at Number One. Showbiz 411 reports that sales of ‘Courage’ plummeted 95 per cent in its second week, even with ticket bundles being counted. The album reportedly sold around 3,400 equivalent units this week. ‘Courage’ was Dion’s fifth Number One in the US and her fourth studio album to rise to the top of the Billboard 200. https://www.nme.com/news/music/celine-dions-courage-biggest-chart-fall-ever-2583292
loathereality 27,052
its sad and funny at the same time i havent listened to it but i know some people liked the album i guess its inevitable if you dont have good streaming numbers and you use tour bundles to support your figures
Guest Adarsh
She’s doing impressive numbers for a woman her age. We must applaud that

PUKKIE 457
A success. At this point in her career and current music climate, shes doing great. I mean she is legendary. And is a touring mega force. Nothing to worry about here
IAmNotHere1997 25,824
Streaming hurts veteran acts and that's a fact, they rely on physical sales, which are non existent these days and bundles only mask that in week one. And Billboard 200 is not really that important for anyone who loves to follow artists with a legacy. She doesn't have streaming numbers to sustain her on the charts and nearly all charts implement streaming nowadays. It's pretty much the same story as nearly all pre-streaming boom artists, especially for divas that have been here for decades. Their back catalogue might have some nice numbers, but their new material just doesn't set the streaming on fire. Realistically high peaks the first week and a fast dropout from the charts was what everyone should have expected. No different to latest releases from other divas: Madonna, Madame X: 1 - 77 - OUT Christina Aguilera, Liberation: 6 - 98 - OUT Mariah Carey, Caution: 5 - 55 - 163 - OUT Avril Lavigne, Head Above Water: 13 - 113 - OUT
Anderson123 38,757
Legends remain unbothered by these new streaming and whatever rules. People are buying tickets to see Celine, Madonna, Cher, etc. And at the end of the day, it’s what really matters.
Candy Gaga 5,374
Still a legend with zero radio support , minimal promo investment and over 3 decades into her career and got a #1 with great numbers
homomo 23,883
She's already a legend, so she has nothing else to prove. The fact that she sold over 100k pure albums in the USA in one week, even after being in the music industry for well over 30 years is beyond incredible. I hope Gaga still has this type of power when she reaches Celine's age. 0110100001100101011011000110110001101111
Ryusei 61,110
I mean let‘s see if many of the girlies on the charts now even have a career left at all by the time they have been in the biz for as long as celine. And as people already said above people go to see her on tour wether she has a new album out or not. Which is difficult to get not everybody has that Musery
