Poissonche 12,365 Posted November 26, 2019 Share Posted November 26, 2019 Not you pitting my two faves against each other I'll go with Elsa because, while Ariel will always have a special place in my heart since I don't remember a time where I wasn't obsessed with her, Elsa was the queer icon I needed when her movie came out when I was 13. I had been excited for Frozen for years, since The Snow Queen, the tale it was based on, was one of my favourites. And the Disney adaptation turned out to be the gayest you could go without putting in actual gay characters? giving off strong messages to be your own damn fabulous self no matter how ostracized you are? Cannonically Elsa just not depicted to be interested in relationship. But it is always hinted with Disney stuffs, since they can't be blatant about it. Not yet anyway.
