FentyGa 14,340 Posted November 24, 2019 Share Posted November 24, 2019 welll taylor has quite a few parallels throughout her discography, so here’s your opportunity to share some opinions and talk some **** 1-Lengthy Breakup Ballads All Too Well vs Dear John personally, i prefer dear john. all too well is her best song, but dear john has a place in my heart. it just perfectly suits my last breakup. 2-Homewrecker Anthems You Belong With Me vs Speak Now YBWM was such a smash hit like, main pop girl tingz...but something about the doo wop poppy yet acoustic vibe of speak now...and the storytelling...so good 3-Betrayal Bops Better Than Revenge vs Bad Blood I mean once again, bad blood, a smash...but i guess i’m biased towards speak now (album) because BTR gets meeeee 4-Dramaaa Look What You Made Me Do vs I Did Something Bad IDSB is criminally underrated. like, issa perfect song. besides the auto-tuned bridge. 5-Vintagey Ballads Lover vs Last Kiss I mean ik yall hate lover and all...but it’s such a sweet song. and what a great chorus🥺 6-City Anthems London Boy vs Welcome To New York i’m a londoner sooo...london boy is special. although sis lied bc aint nobody tryna go brixton lmaooo edit: whomst capitalised the title Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

You Belong With Me = She makes valid points. It's not like Avril's Girlfriend where it's just taking someone's man for the sake of being a ho lol. Bad Blood = because you can tell the betrayal hurt her more than the betrayal felt in Better Than Revenge , it's more intense that's for sure. Look What You Made Me Do = close call because I Did Something Bad could have easily been reputation's lead single to convey the concept but LWYMMD is angry with a sassy personality whereas IDSB is straight up angry. Lover = I skip Last Kiss lol. Welcome To New York = those 80's synth beats are criminally underrated, should have been nominated for ROTY at the grammys tbh. London Boy is a tad cheesy. Speak Now is just average 3-Betrayal Bops Better Than Revenge vs Bad Blood A hard choice but Bad Blood is a bit more of a bop 4-Dramaaa Look What You Made Me Do vs I Did Something Bad Look What You Made Me Do is iconic and all but I Did Something Bad snapped and is EXTREMELY good 5-Vintagey Ballads Lover vs Last Kiss Last kiss can run me over with a tractor, Lover can only run me over with an electric scooter 6-City Anthems London Boy vs Welcome To New York A bop, undeniably. Blown Away 5,218 Posted November 25, 2019 Share Posted November 25, 2019 1-Lengthy Breakup Ballads Dear John Its lyrically amazing, it has some of Taylor's best vocals (that long note at the end of the bridge, wow) and is just super shady. One of the many highlights of Speak Now. All Too Well is a great song as well but definitely not her best imo. 2-Homewrecker Anthems You Belong With Me vs Speak Now I can't choose between these two. YBWM is superior sonically but Speak Now is far better lyrically, the storytelling is so damn good. 3-Betrayal Bops Better Than Revenge vs Bad Blood Another hard one. Both are aggressive songs (athough light versions), Bad Blood is a bigger bop but the lyrics are generic. BTR on the other hand has great lyrics but doesn't match Bad Blood's instrumental. Especially the one from remix version. 4-Dramaaa Look What You Made Me Do LWYMMD is just that song. It's a middle finger to everyone and I love it for that. IDSB is a bit too aggressive and noisy sonically. 5-Vintagey Ballads Lover I choose Lover because the song feels a little more alive. I may also be a bit biased because I'm in love right now. 6-City Anthems London Boy Both are cute songs but WTNY is a filler song, a good one but still a filler. London Boy is just good.
