Thats an interviewing tactic: find that segue from the heavy stuff into something a little light rather than just end the interview in that heavier mindspace. Oprah's good at that.

You're right but it must feel awkward from the interviewee's point of view that you have had such a good conversation and then suddenly it feels like the interviewer only asked those previous questions to ask about something she was really curious about / wanted to know more about. I'm not saying Oprah is interested in more about LG6 than mental health (vice versa because the tour is obviously not about interviewing celebrities "just for fun") but if I was Gaga I would have felt a bit screwed if you know what I mean

Thank you very much to those who outlined the essence of their dialogue. Indeed, it is very inspiring. Also, the phrase that her next album is a revelation of our psychic side is very intriguing. Considering that this is the album she's been working on the most in her entire career...

Thanks for all the updates on this!

Love to hear what Gaga has to say, whether it's personal stuff or about music.

Agreed.

I mean. She is the only one who owns her experience, and she has the right to make whatever meaning out of it that makes sense to her, but like, no human being on planet earth is *meant* to be raped. But that is my opinion and I respect her always.

Exactly..I just wanted to point out that I agreed with basically everything except that. But if it helps her deal with it better her feelings are of course valid.

I see this reflected in the way she explained the Judas video. She explained that Judas was always meant to betray Jesus bc the betrayal had to happen for Jesus to die, resurrect, etc.  This had to happen for the greater picture to be achieved: for Jesus' purpose to be fulfilled.

For us mortals, this is echoed in sentiments like: you have to have suffered to know suffering; if youve never had hardship how can you empathize with those who had; its hard now, but it must be happening for a reason.

Its a very spiritual take and it takes a very strong and gracious person to be able to accept their circumstance and transfigure the ashes of that tragedy into a greater altruism.

Like, look at the backgrounds of founders of charities, philanthropists etc, it was usually an tragedy or messed up experience in their life that was the impetus for all the good they do for others. You have to wonder if they would have done what they did, in a million years, if they didn't suffer that hardship first.

I'm really glad that she found her ways to deal with her pain and get better with it. She's such a strong woman with a healthy mindset, she always gives me the confidence that she knows what she's doing which is why I always trust her. I wish I could spend some time with her and talk with her about this because I also used to be in deep depression (and I got through it). She deserves all the love and support out there for the stuff that she does and for trying to help people through her experiences.

It's always so inspiring and interesting to me to listen her talk about her struggles, the way she deals with them so strongly and accepting, with a positive mindset. Idk she's so young still and unfortunately she will have to deal with those health issues for all her life. Sometimes I'm left wondering what impact those will have in her life, regarding wanting to have children, and perform till she is a old lady... But i believe she will make it happen.
