I got my photo taken by some agency (Getty I think?) for an article I was being featured in, and they later told me I couldn't use the photo without paying HUNDREDS of dollars for it (like, to make it my LinkedIn profile photo for example) even though it's a photo of me. So I put my photo editing skillz to good use and very successfully removed their watermark, and used it for years like, bye b!tches I'm not playing your games. I actually think this should be resolved through public policy - people should automatically have co-ownership of their own likeness regardless of who took the photo. It just that it’s more noticeable now cos she doesn’t have a tour that she had in 2018 that would help to quiet down or balance out the bad news. Chances are it could still be a long year in 2020 for Katy. Especially if she keeps on putting out mediocre music that sounds like 2010 throw away and didn’t level up. Y’all stans better buckle up.
