I don’t support religion myself but it provides a lot of people with hope and fulfilment so I think it’s great that he’s so invested in it

Ziggy 11,978
I liked it! I’d say it’s like Yeezus in intensity crossed with lush sounds of MBDTF. It’s actually pretty good musically and not just straight gospel. And it’s better than he’s used it in the past imo. P dec so far. I know a bunch of hacky sack big 10 frat bros will drop trou for Ye God after this which is eh but the music itself is pretty good

If this were a female artist she would’ve been ostracized to the point infinity but ok. This, not sure how people can listen to this with a straight face after all the bs he has pulled recently. But i guess some people prefer some "music" over their dignity.

Morphine Prince 106,689
Azealia's comments are TRASH but I'm not gonna pretend her album wasn't my favorite of 2014. If you can't separate people personally from their work you'll soon find out you can't enjoy anything.

Unfortunately still not my cup of tea But still great to hear he's getting to produce with some big artists! 2 minutes ago, Gypsy said: Life of pablo is one of my favourite albums, this just ain't my flavour Sorry, I shouldn't have been so aggressive. I was just tired of the haters in here and grouped you in with them. Fair enough! It's definitely different but I'm excited to see where he goes with this direction and if his career will continue down this trajectory, and how it will do commercially. He's a known trendsetter so it would be cool if gospel made it's way into mainstream hip-hop!

alextruper17 8,908
1.- Every Hour Umm.. okkkkayyyy.. 3/10 2.- Selah Meh 5/10 I can't believe the song was written by 10 people It's 2:40 and a full minute is "Hallelujah" 3.- Follow God I kinda like it 6.5/10 The ending tho 4.- Closed on Sunday I like it 7.5/10 The rythm and lyrics. The ending is horrible too. Chick-fil-aaaaaaa 5.- On God It's ok 7/10 6.- Everything We Need Meh 5/10 7.- Water 7.5/10 Too much Jesus I like it but the Jesus part. 8.- God Is 6/10 I didn't connect with it, but the lyrics are good imo 9.- Hands on 4/10 Another song where he's rhyming everything with "light, like, right, strike, night" Not feeling it, sorry 10.- Use this Gospel 6/10 The rhythm of the song is that sound that make the cars when you haven't fasten your seat belt. The second half tho. I like it so much. After the jazz break. 11.- Jesus is Lord 2/10 What? It was written by 6 persons. The song has 3 lines. 3 LINES!!!!!! What the actual f!' I have a serious question: Is he really that believer? Why? He's been always like that and now I'm just acknowledging it? Sickness 1,978
I went into this thinking it wasn't going to be my cup of tea but it's actually a great album. I thought he'd use gospel in a more literal and repetitive way but it was nothing out of the ordinary for Kanye, it has always been a part of his career. Follow God, Closed On Sunday, On God, and Hands On are probably my favorites. From that last one, I was a bit surprised at the awareness of these lyrics: What have you been hearin' from the Christians? They'll be the first one to judge me Make it feel like nobody love me They'll be the first one to judge me Feelin' like nobody love me Relatable king.
