We already know that it's not singles from an album. The lack of promotion explain that. Katy and Capitol have a plan, she already told us that when NRO was out. No official single = no promotion, that's not a surprise. Just like The Cure for GaGa.

But the Cure charted in the top 40 with no promo. Why?

Does it matter? Damage is done

Excuse me- I never attacked Gaga in any way tho?  i always defended Gaga unconditionally from her own little atrocities of fans, and lately, I defended Katy too, without shading Gaga or anything (unlike other users when their fave is attacked) :bye:

True, my post wasn't aimed at you sis :kara:

I still think - ok y'all are going to drag the **** out of me for what I'm saying - that her previous MEGA success was forced and fake. It was full of payola on several platforms.

It's impossible to think the GP complitely erased a woman who has 9 #1 thanks to them. Impossible.

"real" katy numbers and power are the ones she did with witness.

It is possible, it almost happened to Gaga and has happened to a lot of artist who has failed to reinvent themselves. The thing here is that her team has not been smart enough to reinvent her image and thats the reason why she is flopping.

If someone told me 6 years ago that this would be happening I wouldn’t believe :bradley:

Why not? 6 years ago Roar debuted at #96 if I'm correct

The song is basic radio fodder, elevator music. Her image is already exhausting and no matter how much promo she does, people are no longer interested. She needs to rebrand into a sound and image that will make people take her seriously again. She could actually return to acoustic with really good songs.

It has a radio vibe, but it's still very different from what's on the radio. Katy showed her peers how to do a great song with these vibes. This song is actually WONDERFUL imo, easily in Katy's Top 3. The gays only **** on it because it's not a Teenage Dream kind of song and yet they just complain that "sHe AlWaYs DoES tHe SaME ThINg":saladga:

I didn't mean she should go back to dance pop. I don't think she can sell that anymore. She should completely rebrand for the long term and try to find a new audience. I believe she could do it, I really do. Some of her ballads are beautiful. She just needs the right team advising her and at the moment,  she has people who clearly don't have a clue what to do with her.

Ow sorry I missunderstood. You want her to go a different route all over to a different style which is great but IDK I think her peak will always be with the music we're used to from her and she wont top that style even with a more vulnerable one.

The song is not that good. If I was Katy I would hire a whole new team of songwriters/producers and a whole new team to design a new look/image for her. She needs to reinvent fast or she’ll never recover and will always be known as just a pop music fad.

I- Sorry lmao I'm so messy, I didn't even think of it being a joke :laughga: i suffer from anxiety and I'm usually scared people are being mean so I usually am in defensive mode from the beginning sorry:kara: it's OK tho :D

But on topic I just wanna say in general, I never usually pay attention to nasty/bad comments about my favourite artists but... The free wickedness of certain comments here are disturbing. Some people in this fanbase have always shown a negative obsession towards Katy and seriously need a psychiatrist to talk to about it and to go out and make a life for real and not be bothered by Katy Perry enough to offend her and insult her continuously for no reason online lmao :teehee::tea:

Don't worry sis noone will ever be mean to you here

And yeah Sometimes stan wars go too far
