Maybe now artists like Katy will start to realise that you can't just put out sub-par music and then not promote it and expect the same results. Just because it's a streaming era doesn't mean she can just rely on tour sales to bring the money in, because if the quality music isn't there, then people aren't going to go to your tour.

Completely agree. She needs to drop this era, go away for a year, do an acoustic record and start the reinvention ASAP, because her career is tanking. 

I'm so glad Gaga and her team had the sense to rebrand after ARTPOP. Imagine if she'd had the same career trajectory as Katy ...
