Arturo 40,746
Hits is already predicting 900k for Taylor. Her decline is certainly very slow Wasn't the prediction 450k ~ 500k for Justin Bieber? :lmao: Justin Bieber's "Believe" opened with 374,000 Edited September 28, 2012 by Arturo
Bad 32
Wasn't the prediction 450k ~ 500k for Justin Bieber? :lmao: True, but they also predicted 400k for Mumford & Sons but they're heading for 600k+ :derpga:
Americano 31,061
What happened to the "5 year rest"? Adele is great. But also greatly overrated. Its for a movie soundtrack, not a new album from her
craig 680
he pretty much failed on Taylor Swift's prediction. She is slaying right now lol. Adele is much more the Norah Jones or Dido type that is his prototype for his theory. Taylor has teen girl fans and country fans - she's not hipster andor adult darling de jour. Not worried about Adele, because it's just a Bond theme. One song, not an era.

Adele is gonna be in the running for the Grammy's again, and if this song is a mega-hit, good luck to Gaga winning anything with ARTPOP.
Bad 32
Yeah Taylor is remarkably consistent with her sales. I don't see her fading anytime soon. All 3 of her albums have spent 100+ weeks on the BB200. Adele is more of the hipster trend and is more likely to fade.
Arturo 40,746
True, but they also predicted 400k for Mumford & Sons but they're heading for 600k+ With M&S it seemed as though they underestimated them because they aren't mainstream pop. Yet with Bieber, they thought that he'd debut that much since he's mainstream yet he ended up under performing. We'll just see what happens :nails: Edited September 28, 2012 by Arturo
Ray of Light 8,134
You guys. I'm scared :( I don't want 2013 to be Adele Year all over again. I hope this doesn't interfere with ARTPOP. I know I shouldn't care about sells, but I just can't. Now I'm all sad. I don't even know why.

Except the Grammies don't tend to shower the same person with awards time after time. Taylor's last album had a better Metacritic score than Fearless, yet no AOTY nom. Adele is doing a theme song for a 40 year old action movie franchise. It won't be designed as Grammy bait. But it might win an Oscar is the movie is good.. Gaga should be okay sales wise, but I was just saying her Grammy slots could be in jeopardy Except the Grammies don't tend to shower the same person with awards time after time. Taylor's last album had a better Metacritic score than fearless, yet no AOTY nom. Adele is doing a theme song for a 40 year old action movie franchise. It won't be Grammy bait type song. It's Adele though, everyone is still up her ass. And we know how the Grammy's are with Gaga in regards to major categories.
