I am slightly hopeful for Pop Solo since Joanne won and it wasn’t even a single plus no proper competition this year but yeah, I don’t think the Recording Academy will want to repeat a winner. Pop Duo is still having a 45% chance. The lyrics are total Grammy bait, however commercially it didn’t do well. Adding up the Bangtan hype, Señorita’s big commercial success, Sucker being a moderate hit, there’s big competition but remember that Joanne won so... I'm like some kind of supernova

A Star Is Born was/is one of the biggest albums of 2018/2019 and is also universally acclaimed. Remember: There are EIGHT slots for general categories, not five. Nah it will be ridiculous because it’s barely a duet. And I don’t think Bangtan has a chance to win this category. BWL was cute but not something that the voters will vote for. Sucker or Señorita might take it. Does it matter? Damage is done

Everything else is a possibility and not a "stretch" per se, but I suggest to not get hopes up for the rest. Music was stacked this year compared to the 2019 ceremony. It's stacked, but they're doing something like ten slots for AOTY instead of five this year for some reason. And ASIB was still the best selling album of 2019, even tho it came out in 2018, until Lover rolled up—and the academy voters are older and value pure sales as a factor. She's not going to win, but I think she's got like a 90% chance of getting a nomination. I do agree compilation is the only true lock, tho. Compilation is a lock, and probably a win—apparently The Gift doesn't qualify and since the original TLK soundtrack already won for the same songs I doubt they'd award it again (the only new song was Bey's original track). Bey's definitely winning best song for visual media, but I don't think soundtrack will happen. There's no other competition—Frozen and Cats miss the deadline. LilyLark 10,122
It's really weird they didn't submit some of the songs in Americana or the Country category. My guess for nominations is: AOTY (there are 8 slots) Soundtrack Pop Solo Song for Visual Media I feel like she'll win soundtrack.

Maybe It's Time tweeted for American Roots Song and American Roots Performance. This isn't Bradley's fan page, but can we discuss his chance too? I know that Jason Isbell (he wrote the song) won this category a few times.

The Grammys has an image to preserve and a certain standard to maintain, they’d lose their prestige if they always succumb to pressures of angry fans. Does it matter? JustJames 1,041
INLA is nowhere near a 'scam' as a submission to Pop Duo. 'Umbrella' won for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration in 2007; Jay Z's contribution to that song (:15 seconds that were more of an intro to RiRi/boast about his record label than a rap verse) was as/more mininal vs. Cooper's to INLA. Again, I hate that a post-Oscar album re-release with an INLA (ft. Bradley Cooper; radio edit) as one of the new songs added was not produced. Obviously, the cut from LG's emotional ballad to Cooper's singing from an earlier scene is abrupt and not suited for something like radio, but nothing about current-day music is as easy to evaluate as it was even a decade ago. The cut to Cooper's character within the song is essential to its purpose and impact within the movie. Just like the modern-day concept of an 'album' losing relevance, streaming replacing radio-play and sales, the GRAMMYs will need to be flexible in accomodating various ways music is now created and determine how to evaluate the entire spectrum. The 'cut' from LG to BC hasn't stopped the song from being bought or streamed, so who cares? For being such a 'competitive' year vs. last year, the other potential nominees where LG entered seemed kind of weak to me. If DITD and Joanne (Piano) made it into the nominations as limited-release, non-US-impact songs, why the heck would ARUTW and/or INLA be snubbed for songs like 'Sucker', 'Senorita,' etc.? She should have 3 nominations and 2 wins locked down (wins for Song + Album for Visual Media/Compilation; nom for AOTY), with at least 1 additional nomination for ARUTW (most likely being Pop Solo).
