I'm glad that LG has tried to reassure him and the GP that she's okay and that he shouldn't be blamed for what happened. I wish he didn't have to write such a statement, but I hope than now people will stop dragging him. What happened isn't his fault or LG's fault – that's why it's called an accident. She was obviously super excited when she was hugging him and got carried away and wrapped her legs around him, and he shifted his body in an effort to accommodate the extra weight and lost his balance, probably a combo of his slippery shoes and his center of gravity being thrown off by having her wrapped around him. The poor guy even tried to bear the brunt of the fall to protect her. 

I'm grateful that both appear to be okay, though he looked a bit sore when he went to sit with her for "Million Reasons." I hope neither is too sore today.

He doesn’t owe anyone an explanation but more power to him for speaking up. I saw the video and noticed he lost his balance and slipped. It’s sad people are dragging him to any degree, and I’m certain most of them are the obnoxious fans that spend way too much time on the internet. If anything she may be sore today, but by tomorrow she should be good as new. She’s a trooper and she’ll come out stronger—she always does

Omg bless them both That poor guy and his poor leg, and the fact that Gaga was so great about it and left unscathed  I hadn’t watched the whole video until now and for some reason just knew he was going to be a Brit, “waited 11 years to meet ya and then that fockin happens” that bit made me laugh I’m sorry

I’m just so glad she’s ok! This could have been a lot more serious. Gaga, please be careful! And also, people attacking the fan need to seriously stop, it was CLEARLY not his fault.

Yes, I saw Gaga was the one who jumped on the fan. Security should have been more aware. They always panic when theres strangers on stage or when performers stage dive and all that stuff (you never know when a fan might actually hurt the artist). I would have expected them to have all eyes on them the whole time he was up there, enough to at least break the fall

I still think any kind of jokes at this point are distasteful until we know if she's actually ok. She might have said she's ok but we don't really know if she is (we know what she's like trying not to worry everyone). Her team haven't said  anything at all and that was a nasty fall at quite a height for someone short like her that you wouldn't just walk away from uninjured.

I fully agree with this post. Not to place blame because it was a accident, but it is the job of security to protect the artist and fans. This part of the show has been happening from the start. There are other videos of the interaction between LG and a lucky fan who is chosen from the letters thrown on stage. Since each interaction is unique, the security should be very close at hand during it, you don’t know what could happen. I hope LG and the Jack’s bruises heal quick and their are no long term effects.
