Anyway lame Camila Cabello becomes target of the Pop Queen fans, we love to see it! I love when those basic, overdramatic bitches try to rip off other legends’ work and they get dragged by their fan base. Gagadaily should take notes and do the same in case someone rips off Gaga:lolly:

Not her ripping off my fav Madonna performance of all time :omg:

Edit: In case someone here happens to never have seen what were talking about

It's been 28 years hun. When Madonna ripped off Marylin Monroe 32 years had passed.

My math could be wrong.

Madonna spent her career being "inspired" by other people.

I'm pretty sure this very performance wasn't because she loved wearing period costumes. It was more than likely inspired by the movie Dangerous LiaIsons.

Old style of clothing, the fans, the way dancers went around her... the whole concept was almost exactly the same :air:

Im not the type that usually accuses ppl of copying because so much content has come out its almost impossible to get fully original. If you look hard enough youll find simmilar music or performances from someone at some point

but this wasnt just simmilar it was strikingly simmilar. Within seconds of viewing the clip i already knew which performance they were talking about

Also i dont get what Marylin Monroe has to do with this.

Madonna has copied a lot of things and should get crap for that too but right now im talking about Camila

why when we bring up a failing do people always have to excuse it with “but that person does it too”. Like were not talking about that other person did right now :deadbanana:

Madonna didn’t invent Marie Antoinette so this nonsense needs to stop.

that being said, camilas image is so confusing. I just don’t get her.

@Economy her full performance is now available if you wanna watch. She’s going for a comedic performance so maybe I shouldn’t have compared it to Madonna right away. Or maybe it’s still very similar?

Anyway links are now up.

lost in limbo

Came here just to say that Madonna not attempting to hide she was lip-syncing at the VMAs wasn't accidental lol. She's literally not even using a mic to pretend bc the focus of the performance was the visual, not the song.

Also the Marylin Monroe controversy is tired. It's like saying that Charlie XCX and Troye Sivan are  copying all the music videos and movies in the 1999 music video lmao. And a lot of the accusations are based on Madonna simply referencing Marylin, wearing fur coats, posing with jewelry and more things that you could accuse literally the entire music industry of doing.

And not to be the one but if you choose to believe Madonna copied Marylin while believing that Gaga didn't copy Madonna, then you're just very biased.

(I'm still on my GGD break and honestly whether or not Camilla copied Madge I don't really care, but I felt the need to correct some things. byeee)

this is the state of grace, this is the worthwhile fight

Girl come on. She literally did the same choreography while wearing the same dress and the same stage design.

Even her back up dances had the same red stripe on their tuxedos.

Atleast gaga took the effort to give her own twist to it

Imagine being 60 and still having people pressed because you are the blueprint of pop. :giggle:

Erm you do realize that it is supposed to be a straight forward reference to that famous movie/scene. It's not copying but homage as it's clearly stated what the reference is. She is not trying to pass it off as her thing👀 Like how thick ppl are to not see the difference to reference past things with credit vs. trying to pass things as their own.

Even though Music Industry’s trying to convince everybody that Cabello is the next big thing,I’m still trying to believe it but.....still don’t like her songs..and generally I don’t like..the whole package that she has as an artist.

This song is okay, and the performance is okay, but it has nothing to do with Vogue which it was a masterpiece,or Madonna’s performance at MTVs awards back then, which also was a masterpiece.

!!!

This is so stupid, like how can you not see that its an homage, it's like saying oh Ariana just copied Lindsay Lohan because of the Thank U Next Music video, or Iggy just copied Alicia Sylverstone because of the "Clueless" reference on Fancy. :awkney:

Destiny is for losers. It’s just a stupid excuse to wait for things to happen instead of making them happen
